When you have a subscribtion purchased through this website does this not work on the pocketmags newsstand app ?

I believe not, they are currently trying this out. As mentioned above I think people who have a subscription are just downloading the PDF of the magazine as it is more stable.

Re the crashing, have you updated to IOS 6? I had not but once I did the problems seemed to stop.

So I was having no end of trouble with it last week. I reinstalled it and so far its been good. It did mean I had to download the magazine again which took forever 🙁

These were mine and the wife’s efforts last year. Given she is American she introduced me to the pumpkin carving kits which make things much easier.

Glad that you got a positive outcome. Maybe they will think twice before attempting it again.

I use to attend one in Denmark with the local road club. I found it was a good workout, legs felt like jelly afterwards.
Not scientific proof but I felt my sprinting improved the following season out on the road, though this could just have been because I was cycling more.

So my daughter who is a little younger than yours just 2 now goes to a nursery/school in the afternoon. She has been going since she was 17months.
A couple of weeks after she went back after the summer break she decided that she didn’t want to go which we found strange since she really enjoyed it before the break. The reason she didn’t like to go any more was the class had slightly changed, and instead of her being the youngest in the class by 6 weeks she was now one of the oldest. For most of her new classmates it was their first time separated from parents/nannies so they were crying a lot. My daughter didn’t want to go because all the other children were acting like babies. We toughed it out for the next couple of weeks and she is happy again.
I’m sure once you have spoken to the teachers and found out what the situation is their will be a simple solution.
For us the reason we keep her going to the school even though she was upset when we dropped her off, was that after talking to the teacher we found that she was only upset when I dropped her off, after which she was really happy, all within about 45 seconds of me leaving.

so my understanding of the build up was to strengthen joints since running puts more strain on your legs. Will you die, yes eventually everyone does. Will this kill you…. probably not.

I’ve got a Forerunner 110 which I then added the premium soft strap heart rate monitor to. I use it for running and cycling. It tracks routes well and seems good at recording my heart rate.
Since I mainly use it for running I have it set up on average pace mode rather than speed but it will do that. The only problem I find with it is that it only gives you average pace for the lap you are on rather than a current speed so you can’t look down to find out what speed you are currently riding at.
Once the ride or run is finished you can download the information to which ever online site of you prefer (Garmin, Strava, Endomondo etc).
If you want to review before you buy this site is pretty good. DCrainmaker[/url]

I’m in on the roady one. Don’t get to ride much although at the moment it is all resistance training as I am towing my daughter in the trailer. Hopefully will be able to get out on some rides on my own this month but I doubt it.

Number 1 looks very secure, results from yesterday have not been updated yet but don’t think that will make a difference for number 1, should for some of the other people though. Also hoping Swift gets the win tomorrow.

    A Townsend Smoky Bear…
It was truly dreadful but did get me around. I really wanted a Marin or an Orange, still have never owned either of those brands. One day I will.

If all you want to do is track rides another option might be the Forerunner 110, doesn’t do cadence but does do heart rate.
There is a thread on STW about the 200 and from memory it doesn’t get the best reviews.

Someone once described to me what it was like in one of those kayaks, “Imagine paddling blindfolded with a brick tied to one end of the paddle.” Errm no thanks. I will stick with my nice and stable kayak thank you 🙂

I liked the Escape artist by Matt Seaton, nice insight into amateur racing.

I also just watched an old documentary on you tube “the final hour” which was pretty good.

I think it would be only fair for every nay saying internet “expert” who thinks it looks lame and too easy to be forced to race it too and receive a good hard knee in the knackers from every lady who chicks them.

It might not be technically hard in that its not 100% rock garden ridden on long travel skill compensators in your pyjamas but it isn’t trying to be. This is what they call XC racing and is a test of a combination of skills and a fairly serious chunk of aerobic capacity.

    Agreed.

I think the coverage was fantastic, far better than the MTB XC from the world cup series. The course seemed well thought out given the area and seemed to be either up or down so no rest for the riders. Certainly more exciting than race walking and definitely more of a sport compared to Golf which is apparently going to be in the 2016 Olympics (internet rumours).

Does anyone know if they be doing the same with the post boxes for the para Olympians?

No restriction on gear ratios. They use quite a bit bigger for SX than standard tracks and they tune it their own power / spinning ability

    Thanks chamley

So I have a question if anyone knows the answer. Are the gear ratios limited so everyone has the same ratio?
And agree with above the bikes look tiny 🙂

Windsurfing would be my suggestion. Though before you commit make sure it will be at the 2016 Olympics, you wouldn’t want to do all the training and not be able to go as they don’t class it an Olympic sport anymore. 🙂

They got me in to sand and finish it. I’ve used a special lacquer in certain spots that only Team GB know.

So I’m not in the UK so sorry if this has been asked and answered. But why is the track so fast? Is it just the athletes and equipment has improved? Or have they treated the track with a different material?

Assuming you are driving I would check out Budget car rental. The last 3 times I’ve rented with them all the insurance has been included in the price. In my experience this has not been the case with other rental companies.
    Enjoy.
    EDIT
Also might be worth considering joining a hotel chain rewards system. Some of them offer one night free after 3 or 4 stays, depends on chain.

Sorry if you have already done this but check the requirements for flying with your bike.
I took a flight to NZ a few years ago and all I was required to do was remove the pedals and turn the handle bars on the bike.

I also choose to remove the deraillure and chain to prevent damage. This meant I didn’t need worry about looking for a box on the return leg. Bike arrived with no problems, I was rather tired when I put it together again though and managed to route the chain incorrectly through the deraillure but that is another story. 🙄
