Can't wait till i can take the new family member (rhodesian ridgeback) out on the trails with me.Still far to young to go out yet(he's only 13 weeks old).Up to now i'm getting him used to being around the bike. And that bloody pro2 hub :D.The breeder said the same as sherry above as in no long distances untill he's two years old.

Did both the reds (glentress & inners) last weekend.Enjoyed both but if push comes to shove i'd say i liked inners better. You will have a blast whichever one you choose .And this is coming from someone who is not normaly a fan of trail centers.

Try starting (and finnishing) from troutbeck.Ok, there is some hike a bike early on to join up high street at the knot but the descent back down at the end of the ride is (along with walna scar, coniston) one of the best in the lakes.imho :D

Porridge is the food of the gods ! .I normalay have a massive bowl with raisons, honey and protien powder first thing on the day of the ride.During the ride i will have malt loaf with nutella (wrapped in clingfilm it squashes down well to fit in your camelback),raisons, kendal mintcake and apples.Fig rolls are my fav though.I load my pockets up and munch one every half hour or so.When we get back to the van i have a protien shake to help with recovery

First tried with my lad when he was 5 but it was to early. He fell off quite a bit and lost a lot of confidance.Put them back on and left it for 6 months then tried again and it just "clicked".It's like when they start walking, some progress quicker than others.

In the south lakes today.Set off from torver, dunnerdale singletrack, stevenson ground, drop into seathwate(sp),up walna scar. The second part ( the resurfaced bit) i managed to get to the top without pushing for the first time :D .Followed by the cracking descent down the other side.Only saw 4 crag rats (walkers) aswell. To quote ice cube "today was a good day" 8)
