snapped my hanger last summer at gisburn.I was "just riding along" aswell,honest.(although coming a cropper on the small gap jump at the downhill/freeride area may have weakend it though :oops:)

In the saddle by 7:30am,somtimes earlier.As somone said above there is always much more wildlife to see.Always makes me smile as were going home from the lakes the queue of traffic waiting to go there.

Gave up riding motorbikes 15 years ago and since then i've become very "lazy" driving in my car.By that i mean that you were always on the look out for potential hazards.Cow crap on the road,gravel,tractors,ect.But when your in the car listening to the radio,the wife and kids screeming at each other i bimble along and do not pick up on the potential hazards.

I always dismissed blue trails (and all trail centres tbh).But after doing whinnlatter {sp}blue (after the two red routes) I really enjoyed it.

Just moved over to wellgo mg1 from dmr v8.To early to to tell if they are any better but they are a lot lighter.Cheap to.Only £34 from merlin cycles.

Did it last year.Yes the carry up from the small tarn above hawswater is a pain but its worth it for the views at the top and the technical decent down to kentmere is a cracker. Plan to do it again this year when it will be included in a big day out ive got planed.Four passes in one day;Garburn,Gatescarth,nan bield and then back over garburn in the opposite direction 8O.It should be a good day out if it doesn't kill us :lol:.

Had a easton ea70 on my old sub 5.Snapped in half that left me on the floor in the middle of the road with a car nearly running me over 8O.Kinda lost confidence in easton after that.Got a thompson on my new bike.

We rode over walna scar for the first time in 12 months 2 weeks ago.Deff. more rougher than what i can remember(and all the better for it).Enjoyed it so much i'm doing it again this coming sunday 8)

Stop posting these pics of the lakes,peaple will start doing these routes instead of the nft and whinlatter.I won't be able to move when i'm on my bike 😆
