Used to have a sub 5 and I thought it was the dogs do da’s. However when the bike was in getting some warranty work done on the rear shock the lbs lent me a intense tracer. I was blown away on how well it tracked the ground, I didn’t want to give it back. Always hankered after a multi pivot since but captain cash always said no. Her cooking. My mum and dad used to own a pub that served food and gran often helped out making the sweets. The thing was that she never measured any of the ingredients out but they always tasted amazing.

What doesn’t kill you will make you stronger and all that. The thing with me is I seem to manage the hard stuff but come off on the easy stuff. Last Sunday was a case in point. Went through a rock garden as if I was Danny hart ( well I thought I was ) but tried manualing a puddle and came off 😳

Around this time last year I got knocked off my bike commuting to work so no mtb for a few weeks. Finally got fit to ride then I broke my ankle doing martial arts. Two weeks after getting my pot off I got knocked off my road bike AGAIN on the same flaming roundabout 🙁 spring of this year was good though, doing loads of biking, martial arts training and sparring. Trouble was though I was doing to much training coupled with doing to many hours at work that my body said ” that’s it, time out” and I had a brain seizure. Unfortunately both my 10yr old son and my wife both witnessed it. At one point they couldn’t find a pulse and I’d stopped breathing. Fast forward four months and I’m still off work until I get my results through from my brain scans which are in three weeks time. Can’t drive until December but thankfully the fit looks like it was a one off. But hey ho I’m still here and at least I had this summer off to spend time with my family and do some biking.

Came a cropper on one of the bridalways in grizdale Forrest. manualed through a deep puddle/lake and ended coming off. Scraped my knee but it’s ok because I’m one of those all the gear no idea / stormtrooper riders so I had my knee pads on 😉

Great days riding for me as well. Went round grizedale Forrest in the lake district. Rained all the ime we were out but who cares, it doesn’t get past your skin :wink:. Used parts of the north face trail to link up the bridalways in the Forrest. ( Breasty haw, low parkamoor and nibthwaite ) You could ride everyday in there for a month and still not find all the bridalways.

Go for it, you’ll love it. Used to do it as a teenager in the south lakes where there was quite a following. Started off on a yamaha ty80 as a 10 yr old, moved onto a montessa cota 242 which were both twin shocks. My last bike was a yam 250 monoshock and the difference was night and day. Stopped riding when I was 17 to fund my suzuki RGV 250 road bike. It certainly helped me when I started mountain biking as well in respect of balance.

Not that much round Lancaster tbh. But as said above gisburn is around 30-45 mins away. So if you drop the oh off at 10, riding by 11. It can take anything from 1 1/2 – 2hrs to get round so you can be back in Lancaster by 2-3pm.

Can remember reading in motorcycle news they did a test on 2 CBR900’s. One was ragged from the start and the other was run in as per the manual said. The ragged one produced something in the region off 10-15 BHP more. Not sure how long the engine would last though.

Went from a civic type-R to a seat Leon 140tdi. To say that they are at different ends of the rev range is an understatement. Lasted a week before it was in for a remap. Now produces 180bhp and is very touquey. Cruise at 70 on the motorway, put your foot down and it just, well you know, goes.

Agree there is no compromise, the dogs need sorting out but going round and shouting the odds doesn’t always get the correct response. A bit like throwing a sandwich into a car and then getting all arsey when you get an aggressive response 😀

The wife works at booths so were entitled to 20% discount on everything (apart from fags and lottery). 8)
