Another for the Stanton range. A Sherpa or Slackline would be ideal for what you have described.

Evian is worth checking out first, I was there earlier and the trails are running fast.

Not just the gaps to worry about though, I ended up helping a guy who had a big off on his road bike. I think I would prefer an off in the loam than the gravel – it wasn’t pretty.

Thanks for the advice on this. Hsc now fully open and the fork feels a lot better. Why are the stock settings so far out?

Just shy of 80kg and I’m now running 2 blue spacers, 60 psi, 10 clicks rebound and 13 clicks of Lsc.

    Cheers

Thanks I’m going to look at the HSC side of things now. I thought the LSC could handle most of the harshness of the trail chatter rather than having to use the HSC but guess not?

I’ve seen another post by rick d saying pretty much the same thing.

    Cheers,

The fork stiffens when going from open to closed, the guy from TFT also mentioned modifying the spring rate.

When you say not run hsc is that fully open (anti clockwise) or fully closed (clockwise) I’m tempted to fit a couple of tokens and start from the open end and try again.

Hi, rebound is ok using Fox settings and HSC works on bigger drops\jumps. Its the chatter\vibrations I get when opening the LSC which is confusing me.

Dual ply for the Alps any rocks seem to be bigger and sharper over there. If you know it’s just natural trails exo should be ok.

Another for bearings please. I asked the same question on stantons fb page the other day. Thanks.

Google\youtube Steve Cotter, old but effective.

Rather than having an eye on the number of reps roll some dice set the timer and then Swing for the duration – brutal, especially at the end of a session.

The PedalHounds DH run was a lot of fun yesterday-especially after the rain. It has a few drops here and there but it’s not that technical so hit it with speed to liven it up. 🙂

We’re on the uplift tomorrow and I think it’s the pedal hound track that’s open which we haven’t done before, hopefully it’s as fun as the other DH track. Will let you know what it’s like?

@TH you need a jacket. Very quiet up there because of the rain but it was worth getting out. I like minions but a pair of shortys would be ideal up there!

    They’re ok 😉

I’m local to there and would be up for a group ride if it comes off. Hope to head up there later today after I’ve signed off.

Thanks I’ll look into the QPhoto\multimedia side and check before making everything public 🙂 Qfile has helped me with uploading photos from phone automatically, iscsi because I like the idea of copying a lun (one file) to alternative media when needed – VM background. There is enough storage.

I’ve just found a copy of Acronis on my machine which can perform the incremental backups which is good.

    Thanks, I’ll continue to play.

Cougar, it’s a mixture of personal and work data so wanted some redundancy. I’m hoping to have access to this remotely and use the media functionality but I’m not clued up with this part yet.

For the windows backups to work was an iscsi target created first then presented to the pc or can you just create a folder on the nas? How would windows find this?

That appears to be high! We’re receiving quotes in that price range for a complete new bathroom, tiling etc..

Hi. Don’t make this a personal issue, I would imagine you are not alone in receiving this ‘sound’ advice from a manager who manages people in a passive\aggressive manner.

Continue to remain professional, which it sounds like you are and just continue with your role – seek clarification to any matters via email.

Needless worrying will ruin the quality time you have with your family, which is far more important!

Half cut is a lot of fun. I only did it once yesterday but I was on a HT ? overall Antur is more technical.
Anyone else notice the number of police that arrived for lunch, I don’t think they have any complaints about the food…

These are great bikes. I’m using mine for everything at the moment, I built a steel bike up in November and then managed to buy a 2nd Ti frame last month – really happy with it. I’m using it in Wales, long boring fitness rides, Hindhead and surrey hills. It’s far more capable than what it should be really. Definitely more capable than me!

Wheel wise I’m running Mavic XL’s with DHF’s 2.3 front and rear.

Thanks I’ll go down the spray route, is muc off fabric the same as nikewax spray-will it still be breathable when using a spray? Cheers.

I think the iron works instead of sticking it in the tumble dryer. Is the fabric protect the same as nikewax? I’ll take a look at that. Cheers.

Thanks mate. Any idea how long it’s taken for places to go in previous years? Do I stay up late or get up early.

I’m not sure if others can join yet. Has anyone completed the week on their lonesome – still fun?

Mine did, you will have 2 pairs of axle skims too. One pair for 15mm and one for 20mm.

Another for skiidy, easy going yet professional. If you do fly may be consider BA? I usually drive but went with easyjet this year, their check in queues were huge compared to BA’s.

Hi mate, fairly certain its 55 but the hope website used to have a graph showing frame/headset compatibility. I know its the uncommon one.

I’ve had a rune for a year and the bearings are still good, it did eat through the shock bushes in 4 months but they’re consumables.
In the alps, bikebparks, antur and local trails it’s a great bike pointed down and goes back up well enough. I think it’s to much on local trails and perhaps overkill which is why a HT is on the cards but as an all rounder its been great fun to ride and will be keeping it for as long as possible.

An XT cassette with an expander is no problem and shifts fine. Is a seam an SRAM?
Which expander have you got? Hope have specific ones for either shimano or SRAM. Can you remove any spacers?
If you want aa 650b quest tyre for cheap let me know? That’s not going to end up on the front of my build 🙂

Just checked and 11-36 fits OK but admit they are not completely separate. So is your cassette sockets completly separate? That label does seem to back up what you’ve said.

So an XT is out of the question? My wheels arrived today with an XT cassette, I’ll take a look later.

The part is probably out of stock too. I would never buy an e13 bb again.

Mole grips and a good grip will work.
