Jambalaya – my wife has promised the kids a movie night on Xmas eve. It’s off unless Samsung pill their finger out – bet the papers will love that.

Thanks for the replies. The Sale of Goods Act says that the item must be of reasonable quality, so either Samsung resolve this issue, or they believe that it’s reasonable for a TV to last less than a year and a half! I’ve sent an email to this effect so we’ll see what happens.

I’ve used Transferwise in the past and they are excellent. The receiver will just see the money in their account, so no need for them to claim it. You can add a reference so that they know it’s from you. To get your first transfer free you can use https://transferwise.com/u/ae8922. Once you have signed up you’ll get a link too and will earn £50 for every 3 people you refer.

Sorry for the hijack but I’m in a similar situation. Saw a bike with a £1400 buy it now. I offered £1200 before the auction finished and he said no. Now the auction has ended and the item didn’t sell he’s emailed to ask if I’m still interested and he can do £1300 PayPal or £1260 transfer. As the auction has finished it presumably won’t be a eBay transaction anyway will it? So is there any more protection for me to use paypal?

They already use heavy aero frames, power meters etc to get bikes to the 8.1kg minimum weight.

UCI minimum weight is 6.8kg, but your point is still valid.

    edit: beaten to it!

My wife’s a primary teacher and in assembly the head said “I hear there has been some silliness going on during playtime. All this teabagging must stop!”

The teachers were pi$$ing themselves! Not sure what she thought it is, but I’d be worried if primary age kids were doing that!

The 4 will get Lollipop when it’s released

I’m a 4 owner and I was reading something last night that said the 4 wasn’t going to be upgraded. Will be annoyed if it’s not. If true the only option would be to root the phone which is a pain in the a**.

Just finished putting all the units on the DIY Kitchens website and it’s come out at just under £4500 for about 8 base units, 7 tall units and 2 wall units. This is including fancy pull out bits and curves. Sounds reasonable and should look good.

We have about 4 linear metres of worktop to buy, so would £2k cover this including cut outs etc? I like the idea of having a round butchers block integrated on the end of one of the worktops too.

    Thanks for the advice folks.

hooli – where did you buy the granite from? Do you think there is much difference in quality? Is it worth getting samples in?

Jamb – got my mind set on a fancy pull out larder, and the mrs wants some rounded units which really put the price up.

Brassneck – let me know if you’re selling the hob and oven. Pretty sure the wife will want new though.

    russ – ta mate

If you can send money directly to their bank you could use Transferwise. No bank charges, excellent rates and only a small fee which is waived if you use this link for your first transfer:

I used them a lot when I lived in France and it’s very easy.

I was in Cannes last week (as one does) and saw some even more ridic cars than the evoke. Mercedes 6×6, maclarens, lambos. Great riding past on the bike, so long as you don’t hit the wing mirrors. Rather have a vdub

Haha good answers. Atlaz, I’ve just come back from France was living there for 3 years in Antibes. Never spoken to a cow in French though.

I’m reluctantly selling my Rado if you’re interested: http://www.amazon.co.uk/SINTRA-CHRONOMETER-R13663162-GENTS-CERAMIC/dp/B001II27WC

I’d let it go for £1k minimum as we need a kitchen and I need a new bike. It’s 3 years old and immaculate and has had a service in the last few months.

Let me know if you want any details.

Thanks all. Perhaps I’ll buy another bracket and use the Strada off road and complement it by getting a joystick to mount on my helmet.

I’ve been tempted by these for a while. However it seems that the 2015 model is a bit more expensive and has Canyon own finishing kit instead of the Ritchey stuff on the 2014. I think the frame is the same too. If it were me I’d get a 2014 model and only ride it in the dry over winter.

    What’s not possible?

Sorry if I wasn’t clear. If you want to transfer from a UK account to a Euro account, then you obviously need a euro bank account to transfer to.

Although not possible unless you have a EUR account, the cheapest way to do it is to transfer the money from a GBP bank to a EUR account. I use Transferwise and they are fantastic. You get the actual rate on that day and the charges are minimal. You can get a free transfer if you use this link https://transferwise.com/u/ab510

Snapped the pin off once on a set of cranks, they soldiered on for a long while like that and I didn’t die…

    Thanks skell.

    Hi all, first post here.

I fitted a Hope NW ring to an SLX chainset last night to go 1×10. Am I going to need a clutch mech?

When I reinstalled the non-driveside crank arm and there wasn’t the (not sure if this is the right name) locking pin, so I just did up the allen bolts nice and tight. Will this be OK?
