Dundee > Loch Earn > Dundee, about the flattest route I could think of for a century but still really struggled.

Big (for me) day out yesterday. From Blair Atholl, north on the A9 cycle path, through the Gaick pass and on to Loch Insh / Feshiebridge. Return via Glen Feshie and Glen Tilt. 77 miles.

Agree with those suggesting the villages. I grew up in Invergowrie and have lived in Birkhill for 20+ years. Takes less than 20 mins to cycle to the city centre/uni but have the countryside on my doorstep.

That is a shame. Last time I was there (sept last year) there were notices saying that due to how busy they were becoming you’d have to pre-book in 2018.

    > What is ‘Short Code’?

5 digit numbers that you text or call for things like voting on tv shows or entering competitions etc

No problem roaming last summer (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy). I think the short code thing is still an issue though I’ve never had to use them.

Been with them for just over a year, no problems. Saw they had a better deal on Black Friday and they moved me to that quickly.

    > Only one who complains is a Journo who shouldnt have been there in the first place

Cos the hostesses were gagged with a non disclosure agreement and had their phones taken away so they couldn’t record what was going on.

Raising loads for charity? I wonder how many pay all the tax they’re due?

I’ve done most of the route Beargrease suggested and also done Twicewithchips’ route which would be my choice, only naff bit is around Loch Broom but it’s not that long.

I ended up having most of December off to use up holiday allowance

Same here, had loads of annual leave to use up so only worked 2 out of the last 7 1/2 weeks. Back to work tomorrow and dreading it.

You can switch the Nest learning function off

    https://nest.com/uk/support/article/How-do-I-turn-off-Nest-Auto-Schedule-learning-and-use-Nest-as-a-programmable-thermostat

“If you turn off Auto-Schedule and only use a programmed schedule, you can still benefit from your Nest Thermostat’s energy-saving and comfort features, such as Home/Away Assist, the Nest Leaf and Early-On, but your schedule will stay just how you left it.”
