Went out tuesday and wednesday. From the house I can get up the Sidlaws and back in just over an hour. Saw half a dozen walkers on tues and 3 walkers and 1 mtber on weds.
Out round local roads on saturday and sunday. Soaked to the skin on saturday, sunday better but still had to shelter under a tree while a heavy shower passed.
Starting from Fortingall ride up Glen Lyon. At Invervar cross to the other side of the river and follow the track to Bridge of Balgie. Over the Lairig Ghallabhaich to Carie on Loch Rannoch. Follow the road east to East Tempar then the track over the west side of Schiehallion to Blar na Feadaig bothy. There’s about a mile of hike/bike SE to pick up the track back to Fortingall
Did it a few years ago on a compact and 34t cassette. Tough climb and was chuffed to make it up (fifty, fat, unfit).
Rode a loop from Torver, Broughton, Ulpha, Birker Fell(?), Hardknott, Wrynose, Coniston, Torver.
