Interested in this as I have a similar problem. The battery was always a bit flakey and would only hold charge for a week at best. Plugging the charger in would work and charge it up but now it’s completely dead. Have tried a different charger with no success.

One that’s open past 4pm, they all seem to close early, not just winter hours. Fortunately there was one in Edzell open till 5 so I got a coffee to warm up after cycling Glen Esk today.

After a walk up Glen Clova on Saturday I went in to the Clova hotel at 3.55 and was told they had stopped serving coffee at 3.30

On Sunday I was in Kirriemuir and the only open cafe was closing up at 3pm though the owner did offer to do a takeaway.

Another local here. Grew up in Invergowrie, had a flat in town for a while then moved out to Birkhill 26 years ago.
As others have said the biggest plus point is location, you don’t have to go far for good mtbing, road cycling, walking up the Angus glens, skiing at Glenshee, beaches on the Angus and Fife coast. Edinburgh is only an hour away for better shopping choices or a proper airport.

I didnt sign up to chub club but decided when I began working from home and lockdown was announced that I wouldn’t have any junk food in the house. Weighed in at 13/5 and am now 11/12 so 1 1/2 stone off. Hoping to get down to 11/0 but anything under 11/7 would be good as I haven’t been that low since my late 20s.
