    I do 90% of my riding on my ’09 Giant Anthem which has a 72 degree head angle & haven’t been over the bars this year (yet)

    Got a 2010 Anthem and though I’ve not been OTB often it does feel like it gets close to that point easily. Not very confidence inspiring and as a result my riding is getting tamer. And it wasn’t exactly gung-ho to start with.

    Probably just need a dose of MTFU :roll:

    By strange coincidence I was just watching ‘Highland Emergency’ which showed some DoE kids being rescued from beside the ruined lodge in the first pic.

    Urban regeneration & brown field only IMHO. Of course, developers only want to build nice smart new housing estates on green field as that’s where the money is, meanwhile the urban areas get more and more run down, empty/dozed buildings etc.

    250 houses going in here :( Google Streetview

    Single here so wanted it paid off asap as there’s no 2nd income to fall back on if I ended up unemployed.

    The action of the police has to be seriously questioned as it appears that there is collusion between Trumps private army and a supposedly unbiased police force.

    Watched the whole thing yesterday, real edge of seat viewing. Makes you realise the scale of Kittinger’s achievement to have done something similar more than 50 years ago and with more basic equipment. Huge respect to both.

    My mate has an old Motobecane tandem dating from 70s or early 80s. I think it has rim brakes f&r plus a rear drum brake. Went out on it with him a couple of times, bonkers thing to ride :-)

    Happened before with Conti motorbike tyres …

    “The orientation of the ContiRoad Attack front has recently been revised. Conti Germany responded to feed-back from the UK and other markets about maximising the already incredible durability of the original front tread pattern. After the launch of the ContiSport Attack test riders commented on the fact that the reversed tread direction gave much more uniform wear across the tyres section and so the ContiRoad Attack front pattern was switched in late October 2006 to take advantage of this better wear characteristic. Some confusion exists because some European plants outside of Germany have a tread mould with small arrows at the edge of the tread near the sidewall, these arrows should be ignored. These moulds are being replaced. ContiRoad attack customers may be offered the same tyre with apparently two different directions of rotation. The tread pattern on both tyres is fine. Riders should be aware that all relevant and legally required information regarding speed rating and direction of rotation is moulded into the side-wall of the tyre, not the tread, so be sure your tyre is fitted in accordance with the directional arrow on the sidewall regardless of which way the pattern runs.” :?

    mikeconnor;
    Rowley Birkin QC is probably the greatest character in my opinion. I don’t know how to do the fancy video thing, but the scen where he gets very serious and it’s incredibly poignant, is truly, truly brilliant. Out of all of them, Paul Whitehouse stands out as a true genius.
