    very good point captain. however if i was going to do that all day i would stay at home and spend the money in ann summers instead.

    come to think of it thats not such a bad idea…

    agree with a lot that has been written above. i think you need to find a class you enjoy as your first priority. that is if you ve just decided to take up a martial art for the sake of learning one. however if you have a particular reason i n mind i would suggest;

    fitness = mma/boxing
    sport = kick boxing/ tkd
    style and flexibility = kung fu / wushu
    fighting = krav maga

    i know i missed some but this is just IMHO. i do kung fu and enjoy it very much.it`s improved my fitness, strength, co ordination and flexibility. plus my confidence.

    you cant really go wrong with a Seiko . the skx007 is a real favorite for some which means it would hold it`s value should you decide you dont like it. do you want an analogue or digital face ? g shock might be worth a look.

    do you think you need an 20 inch frame i m 6ft 1 1/2 and ride a 18 inch with no probs.

    yeah i know what you re saying about the roadrat but they sell it as a single speed if you buy it complete. i just think it would maybe be frustrating to only have one gear on a road bike but they are the nice looking bikes imho.

    i suppose it`s like a lot of sports in that you only start to notice the technical skills the more you get in to it.if you just flick over to it catch 5 mins of one fight than you cant really judge. i train in mma and kung fu and we get lots of big blokes turn up who are just looking for a way to hurt somebody . they normally go in the ring with our instructor whos not a big bloke and after about 10 seconds they learn to appreciate the skills involed.these sports teach displine and dedication but sometimes i think the marketing of them gives them a bad name.
