Thing is about DC/the Conservative party in general, I actually can’t think of a single thing they’d have done differently compared to Labour over the last few years.

If we look at the big issues since 2000 – Iraq etc – the tories would have been just as much poodle-ish yankee butt kissers as Labour were. Credit Crunch etc – the Conservatives would have followed the same neo-con laissez faire attitude towards the banks and capital markets as Labour – especially since so many seem to have a background in the City.

The only difference I see is maybe they wouldn’t have had such a massive budget deficit/lower public spending in the “good times”
