Luca 1 Max 0 as peace breaks out in F1

    Agreement between FOTA and FIA

I keep an eye on F1 but haven’t really watched a race since my second child came along 4 years ago, but had a treat on fathers day and was allowed to watch it – blo0dy nora that was boring.

    F1 politics >>>>>>> F1 racing

This thread almost made me change my mind about windpower. How can we square the circle generate power from wind and store the energy?

Well Dr Mark Barrett has had a fantastic idea

Bimbler I dont really know, I find it does some of what SS does and makes you attack steep stuff to get up it, but has a bit more versatility, like being able to go faster, not sure why, but I like it for my local riding where I found I didnt use the granny and didnt use the big ring so didnt fancy carrying them about each ride.. But you have a fair point.

Thanks Tinsey, not really trying to make a point, just interested tis all.

I understand and really enjoy my SS, I understand and really enjoy my fully geared bike, but why 1×9, none of the advantages/characteristics of SS and not all of the advantages of a fully geared?

    So why 1×9?

hora – where do you get this about Porsche? They are THE most profitable car company around at the moment, no one else has enough cash to buy big brands like VAG, where are they on the brink of collapse?

Didn’t Porsche buy € billions and € billions of VAG share options which are due today?

    Infact

    Porsche blah blah

    Jewish Law

This was an ace series of documentaries on C4 a couple of years ago about members of the ultra-orthodox communiy in Munchester. Fair to say that of the religions of the book the ultra orthodox Jews take some beating for the intricacy of their laws, some of which quite frankly were utterly barmy, a point conceded by some of those who took part in the doc.

My 4 year old seems to like a lot of CBBC programs now, I’m not sure why a lot seem to go largely over her head but Uncle Max seems to be her current fave – it’s actually quite good. She’s always hated In the Night Garden, shame I rather like it.

My 7yo likes Trapped and Jungle run and programs like that but much prefers her DS to kids TV. Her favourite overall TV show recently is Scrapheap Challenge – which we watch together. Unfortunately we seem to have watched them all :-(

From a business perspective it makes perfect sense for both clubs. Man Utd will be able to make a stronger team

A year and a bit of interest on the debt for the Glazers, more like. Lovely bit of business from the Mancs, cost £12, got 3 PL’s and a CL and flog for £80m. Incredible.

Some friends of ours had their children in a public “junior” (whatever the poshos call those ) school, they loved the school however on thinking ahead the only “secondary” public school which admitted girls in our vicinity had monstrous fees, beyond even their fat City salaries. Given that, they thought it would be better to move their kids into state education so the transition from Junior to Secondary wasn’t such a jump.

I’m all in favour of public schools but they definitely shouldn’t have charitable status.

I think Plasma is pretty much dead since Pioneer pulled out. I’m a bit out of touch but I still get emails from various websites – I think the new generation of Samsung LED tv’s (they’re not true LED tvs they use LEDs for backlighting on LCD panels I think) get good reviews. Of course everyone is waiting for OLED technology to mature (ie get cheaper and bigger), as it will completely replace LCD+Plasma.

Here’s a bit of blurb about a Sony OLED TV

    Too Small and expensive
