Seriously how much difference is there between a briefcase, a courier bag, a ruck sack and a man bag for carrying your bits and bobs around. It's just a matter of taste, no?

I used to have a bit of a graphic novel habit when I had disposable income but I have recently(ish) discovered my local library has a good range while the county as a whole has a great range of titles available.

I love Daniel Clowes stuff but it's not trad graphic novel stuff. If he hasn't got Watchmen (everyone should own a copy) or V for Vendetta start right there.

Not a digital subscriber (yet?) but despite being impressed with the technology of some of the other digital mags out there I can never really be bothered to actually read anything longer than about 200 words.

    Caffe Latex?

A bit pricey but seems to be doing a stirling job so far – albeit only about 1 month

Avoid unless using ust tyres . Set solid in my maxxis ardents after 10 hours.
Anyone using it, don't just shake the wheel to see if its still fluid because that doesn't work
It separated in my tyres to a brown liquid and solidified latex.

    Oh plop, £25 too.

If you've got a PC and a wireless internet connection what about a Squeezebox (Duet)

£80ish quid for the box or £230ish for Box + funky handset thing.

It's the route I'm thinking of taking

I like Singletrack, although the last few ish'es haven't really done it for me for some reason (maybe it's me).

Bought my first issue of Dirt to see what all the fuss was about recently and it's not really my cup of tea being "younger and radder" and more about big bikes than what I is. :shakes zimmer frame at the injustice of it all:

Still at the end of the day what are you gonna spend, £4 per ish or something, that's what a pint costs in that london.

Do you wear speedos on the beach?

Everyone out of the anglo-saxon world sphere (well by that I mean Europe I suppose) seem to wear "trunks" and have done for years rather than the uncomfortable (when swimming) shorts that seem to have proliferated since the prudish yanks deemed Speedos and their like "gay"? Strange. Why are anglo saxons so scared of showing their weener bulge. I remember reading in the summer that one of the theme parks banned wearing "speedos", Alton Towers it was

In summary then not wearing lycra seems to be an anglo-saxon, prudish, homophobic, fat, small, small cock, fashion thing then?

I think some people have Met heads – bought a new helmet recently and couldn't get on with Spesh or Giro whereas Mets felt just right. I've got the Inferno UL a roadie helmet and it's extremely well vented

Everybody bangs on about the kit but surely the listening room/space is one of the biggest factors, spending small can reap much bigger rewards than buying better kit lots of good stuff here[/url]

And I dare say a decent digital parametric EQ will have more impact than all sorts of hifi snake oil spending plus it's a brilliant dac to boot

Been using them for donkeys with barely any probs other than I didn't get automatically bumped up to 10mb. When I put in the call to address this issue they kept on banging on about using PC guard – worth it? I currently use Avast, the windows firewall and scan regularly for spyware using Spybot and Malwarebytes

Yep pretty much you box it up, they give you the option of printing off your own labels or will bring some pre printed ones, you can pay a bit extra to have them pick it up or save the cash by dropping it off at their centre, it's a doddle.

How do LBS stay in business

Also saw a lass walk in with a flat rear tyre, she asked for new tyres to suit, chap sold her 2 tyres (front & rear) and then charged £10 per end (so £20) for fitting them… lady took that without batting an eyelid

A friend got a Bose one for Xmas last year – I was absolutely stunned at how truly awful it was, and then his partner told me the price, jeez. Don't buy one of those, SoundDock or something.

Coming to think of it what about a decen set of PC speakers and just plug in via jack socket – maybe not the neatest solution

About to convert a pair of Mavic TN719 rims with Bontrager ACX

I run this combination (albeit my ACX's are TR), using some Bontrager tubeless valves, electrical tape to seal off spoke bed and some of this stuff to make it air tight. Works a treat inflated first time and kept air pressure despite not riding for 10 days after I set it up . I originally used some leftover Wheel milk but didn't really have enough for both wheels so bought some CaffeLatex, which works at least as well as wheel milk so far but hopefully will last way longer before top ups and seal better.

Thanks all, the RAB and Endura certainly both look the part. I really like the look of OMM's but maybe a bit lightweight for general use.
