What about getting a Jap import? Something like a Toyota Previa/Estima, Nissan El Grand etc. A friend is importing one himself (saving a lot over buying one pre-imported apparently). You get all sorts of toys you don’t get on Euro cars (remote control doors for example) you can get them in 4wd and hybrid too.

Personally I’d much rather get an MPV type thing rather than an estate, you may lose a bit on drive-ability but you get a lot more space, practicality and higher driving position.

I looked at (new shape) Berlingo when we recently changed cars, really great cars, may have bought one but the 110 XTR model which we saw smelled like an ashtray, we came back looked at it again, it had sold in the interim at a big discount and now smelled as fresh as any nearly new car full of chemicals could.

Thanks for all the feedbacks. Not averse to an active dog, didn’t realise that walking on the lead did not count towards any of it’s exercise, the school run is a bit over 4 miles daily so thought that would be worth something. Saw the little critters tonight, my fave taken though :-( Bastardly cute.

Very, very nice. Shame the Simple doesn’t come in the same colours, it would probably have been my next bike, wait for mk2 colours.

For what you want I’d go for the one with the big screen, ie the S2. I’ve got a Desire (same screen size as iPhone, albeit nowhere near as good) and find myself suffering screen envy. Alternatively cheap phone and tablet computer?

From the Grauniad article linked up there ^^^^

How many civil partnerships are there?

More than 18,000 civil partnerships were formed in 2006, the first year they were legal in Britain. Since then 6,000 to 8,000 a year have been performed.

That compares to (in 2008) 233000 so about 3%ish

err it seems to be the same party on both sides of the debate, so if you voted for the Tories you voted for and against gay marriage. A move which Labour ultimately shied away from.

Pretty chuffed with my Chiba Dry Star, pretty warm, allegedly very water proof, not too chunky (ok on a SS, just about alright with gears I’dve thought) only down side is lining not fully stitched in. Bought silly cheap (£16?) on Merlin, more now.

As long as you haven’t borked them trying to get the tyres on then distance selling regulations are your friend.

The home brew tubeless compressor made from a 2l soda bottle, plastic tubing and valves works amazingly well ime. There’s a thread somewhere but can’t find it at the mo. I’m sure somebody will oblige.

One of the reasons why Westminster is not trusted to set the referendum up – memories of what happened last time. it looked like a yes vote would go thru so the terms were changed to make a yes vote totally implausible

What would count as a yes for the SNP, 50.01% of electorate?

I wonder how accurate a picture it is, we’re shown Coppers in action for 50ish minutes (albeit I only watched 20 minutes) and I didn’t see a single copper drone endlessly on about their pensions.

This is a grossly inaccurate portrayal judged by my recent encounters with the the old bill.

Love my Quito jacket, too much really because I never use it on the bike, just for bodding around in. Would definitely buy again.

    not convinced this has worked

    Reboot takes ages.

Partioning the sd was the only issue I had really, Rom manager wouldn’t work, I downloaded a free windows utility, which didn’t work at all despite reporting success, annoying. Ended up using the gparted tool in an ubuntu machine I had access to.

Definitely try to s-off it, I didn’t when I rooted mine wish I had when it was the task in hand.

Yup bedding in essential, my unbedded in organic Formula pads lasted one wet ride in the Hertfordshire slop. Bedding them in extended organic pads life to a good 4 or 5 months. Fully bedded in Superstar sintered have lasted over a year.

To bed them in I ride down the hill I live on a few times stopping as hard as I can several times without locking, building up a lot of heat and then spray with water, a fairly satisfying sizzle and cloud of steam ensues.

You could try importing favourites/bookmarks into IE.

    Completely uninstall FF. Reboot.

Reinstall FF and import bookmarks into FF from IE.

    Maybe

I used the unREVOked guide here.

It seems daunting but once you’re actually doing it it really isn’t all that difficult.

I bought some Chiba Dry Star after reading some threads on here from last year, picked them up silly cheap from Merlin and they worked a treat in around zero-ish riding at the weekend, linings seemed to be stitched in but still had minor problems with little finger.

I used to be (am?) a pretty hardcore atheist, however we will never be able to disprove the existence of a god so why bother? Maybe we are just a part of some meta-being’s science experiment?

However the God of The Bible loooooooool, the guy (for he is a guy) is a nutter, he doesn’t want worshiping he wants locking up.

Yeah the Bose, Vita stuff is lush, although tbf I’ve never actually heard it but it certainly looks the part.

Why is everyone so concerned about how much other people spend on the people they love?

Half these posts scream of jealousy or hypocrisy.
