A mate of mine redeveloped a house into a couple of flats and had to achieve certain insulation standards as part of the planning permission. This included external insulation, only problem was the narrow gap between his house and the neighbours in which were both “front” doors, so he had to buy the thinnest/highest performing Kingspan system, ended up costing him £100/m2 or something like that, this was 2012 (maybe 2011) so not sure how much has changed.

Stompa Highsleeper, we bought one for our eldest daughter from ebay last year, we know it’s at least 3rd hand but still solid as a rock, daughter loves it. Pretty spendy when new but retain their value, plenty on ebay

Some things don’t really need overtly stating, when the implication seems so blindingly obvious

Oh the implication was obvious, loving the all seeing eye you have.

none of this is evidenced in the quotes though,

Hmmm based on the sexual harassment allegations he faces, no.

“Guilty” of no more than a few clumsy passes.

In fact I’d be a bit wary of people seeking (high) office who can’t deal/handle situations like this.

Not really stats, but maths, but apparently

You can add an infinite series of positive numbers, and they’ll add up to a negative fraction.

Haven’t watched the video yet, but wha?

    Strapline

This post involves math. Really bizarre, brain-melting math. The math itself is actually not that complicated—I promise!—but the result will carve out a piece of your soul and leave hollow space. Seriously, please, bear with this. I pounded my head on my desk enough to leave a dent in the wood and a welt in my forehead to figure this out, so please just stick with it. When it’s done, you’ll have a better appreciation for just how completely flippin’ weird our Universe is.

We never had a revolution so have never got rid of the top layer of society that we all are beholding to

Well we did chop off a King’s head 140 years before the French did in a civil war mainly driven by the middle class against a soi-disant absolute monarch.

This is quite interesting as to why the French are so miserable despite all their advantages

    This too

Don’t think I can turn my tv off, but it uses a whopping 0.9w on standby. Go me.

Dear oh dear OO/PX are getting an absolute caning here.

Previously had good experiences with them, particularly when asking questions about a s/h Scandal frame I’d bought from here. However they were rude and outright lied to the Missus last year which pretty much deleted them from my suppliers list. Shame.

Two days ago, a woman climbed up a 10,000 volt electrical tower, and sustained an electric shock but was successfully rescued. Reporters at the scene captured the entire event.

Firemen and police quickly arrived at the scene, but couldn’t do anything because the power lines were live.

The firemen and policemen climbed up an adjacent building to the same height as the woman, and repeatedly tried to convince her to come down, but the woman only shook her head, while her hands and head were only about a foot away from the power lines. As the woman got more and more agitated, her gestures got larger and larger, until what everyone was afraid of occurred: she hit the power line.

As soon as the woman hit the power line, a red electric arc emerged, traveling from her finger to her face, and she fell over.

Just as everyone thought it was over, the woman suddenly moved. Even after receiving a such a shock, the woman was fine, and only sustained small injuries to her hand.

Eventually, the power was shut off, and firefighters began climbing up to save her. The firefighters attached a safety rope to the woman, and tried to convince her to climb down, but she just didn’t want to. About an hour after the incident began, she finally agreed to climb down.

His Podcast is also worth a listen, pretty dark sometimes, none more so than Bisbee Cliffhanger Parts 1 & 2.

His Comedy Special, “Beer Hall Putsch” on Netflix is excellent too.

@Bimbler. I’ve just done some googling too and apparently tethering isn’t allowed: clicky-linky

Not allowed maybe but I’ve done it in the past when my broadband went down and just did it now and seems to work fine. :shrugs:

Felt like I was getting divebombed by the noisey blighters when I was walking on Wormwood Scrubs last year, they were roosting – there were thousands of them. Pretty mind.
