If you want to lose the amp why not go for some stereo airplay/bluetooth speakers?

    Includes Apt-X codec

    Sexy Airplay speakers

    Sexy in Red?

If you’re going the amp route then this is pretty good Spotify Connect is included as is Airplay, DLNA, networked via a wired connection – Bluetooth and Wifi can be added via dongles

Flew over my gaff today, see it quite regularly but today was ridiculously low. Amazing sound, less so for my old dear who felt the sharp end of them in that World War II

Crocs are officially the best thing ever for camping as they’re clogs not sandals, slip em on kick em off, who want to be worried about straps and toe thongs on the 4am piss run.

Never had a pair of official crocs but the kids do and the mocks are rubbish in comparison

I’ve got a Montana 6 and it is a great tent, but massive, heavy and impossible to put up single handedly. If you’re doing lots of short camps rather than weeks away go for something smaller and lighter and simpler to erect. Lots about. Frankly astonished by the punishment the decathlon pop iups can withstand, especially the Samurai helmet jobs which they don’t seem to do anymore. For shorter camps we have an Outwell Virginia which is much the same as a Vango Icarus. I’d err towards a smaller tent and then maybe something like a Coleman Event shelter for living/shelter space

I’d also check out some Japanese import MPVs, particularly the Estima (Previa over here) or if you’re after something a bit different/bonkers a Nissan Elgrand or Toyota Alphard. You can pick up 10 year old but low mileage Estimas for £3-4k, will easily last another 10 years, the petrols may be a bit juicy but total cost may well be cheaper bearing in mind the low initial cost

Pretty happy with our Scenic Mk III, no worries so far (4 yo), only downside is the 1.5dci which is a distinctly old school 106 hp (?) (in a 1.5 ton car), more modern versions have a new 130hp unit which should make accelerating distinctly less sclerotic. Once up to speed it’s quite happy to cruise all day at European motorway speeds. Flappy seats in rear are for kids only really, as is the case in most 5+2s – small boot space with seats down. Also looked at C4 Picasso which I actually preferred but Missus preferred the Scenic as it was more car like. Lots of Picassos available ex-Motability (well there was when I was looking at them)

compare and contrast him and CRonaldo

Rooney will at least still give it his all, even when his team are losing. CRonaldo goes missing whenever things aren’t going his way. This was the main criticism when he was at MU, and is still the case now.

Mebbe, but look what they’ve done with their gifts and physiques. CRonaldo has gone on to be one of the world greatest players and has the conditioning of a greek god (his lats are bizarrely massive though), Rooney hasn’t really progressed and still has the simple expression (not his fault) and doughie body of a medieval ox cart driver.

Lets hope RM come in for Suarez, still can’t believe Arsenals £40m +£1 bid last year .

Rooney despite his bag full of medals could have become a great imo, so much talent but as SAF said in his autobiography he’s a lazy trainer, his physical conditioning is a joke, compare and contrast him and CRonaldo. Also believe his natural position is a number 10 rather than a 9 and I suppose the recent ish trend of playing only one striker has mitigated against this.

Never used the plug in kind, but have been very happy with our cool box (Coleman Extreme). We normally freeze a couple of 1.5 litre water bottles to start off with and then after a couple of days feed it a bag of ice every day or so. Keeps things fridge cold. If you’re going to get one go big as the insulation is roughly the same thickness so you get much more usable space in the larger boxes.

You could end up with one like this

or you could end up with one who is perpetually diving in various different shades of animal excrement, mine has done it 3 times in the last fortnight, I think the last one may even have been human *boke*.

Time is the biggest trade off though, maybe not so much with the Greyhounds as recommended above but many other breeds/types whatever you’ll need to walk them at least a couple of hours per day.

Cabs are a luxury and are protecting their closed shop/income, fair dos I’d do the same. Bring on Uber but I really don’t believe Sat Nav is in any way comparable to the knowledge.

Someone in the industry told me those razor-sharp images you see on TV’s on store might not be the same in your home….due to some stores having a satelitte ariel/boosted thing to make it all look great

Not sure about that but they do leave all the picture processing on which give it that super sharp “popped” look, ultimately though this isn’t really a good/realistic picture and quickly becomes tiring to watch. Mate of mine bought a top end Samsung a couple of years ago, hasn’t touched any of the image processing, can barely watch it, horrific although on first glance it totally has the wow factor. You can find a sets of “recommended” settings at places like AV Forums.

+1 for get a bigger screen

very happy with our Panasonic e6b in terms of picture quality but ui is a tad slow and only “catchup” service available is iPlayer. Also there’s a minor but annoying bug on the Netflix ap where you have to reconfigure the digital out (sound) with each new program, grrrr.
