I’m not a big U2 or Bono fan.

I can’t really comprehend being as rich as he was before, let alone how rich he will be now. But the same goes for all rich people. Do you really need to “keep all the money” after you’ve got say 100 million in the bank?

Personally I wouldn’t. I’d use it to help others. The reason I know I’d do this is becasue I already help others, with the comparativly little I’ve got.

I wouldn’t be keen to spend money on some of the bottomless pits Bono says we should, but I do have those I would def help.

Seriously, I’ve got a house and I don’t have/need a mortgage.

I know this sounds like a wind up, but it’s almost harder keeping hold of or growing a lump sum than it is getting it in the first place. And the government want to tax everything – interest on savings, profit on a 2nd house if I were to buy one and do it up.

And of course 70K isn’t actually enough to buy much of a property anyway.

Edit – and I didn’t steal in from little old ladies or orphans.

As far as I knew, the rules were:

When its going to be a bit of a session like this was and you’re expecting to drink a fair bit, then bring your prefered drink of choice.

sharkbait – I got a cassette tape recorder when I was 15 (1978) which I used for years and still remember clearly. It was a black Toshiba, single speaker, top loading and it had a "counter" (tiny dial numbers that didn't always turn) and took 6 batteries.

I used to put it on loud in my haversack so I could listen to music while cycling to the shops!

ok – I did he same course (a few years ago now!) I did the ONC first and then the HNC. Both 2 years day release. 3 years we did 1 long day, 1 year we did a day and a seperate evening which was harder. The 2nd year of HNC included complex maths which I found tough.

I had to make up my 8.5 hour day every week. I did an hours over time each of the four mornings that I didn't have college, an hour on the 2 evenings that there was no evening classes and then made up the balance on friday afternoons (We finished at 1). Then I started doing actual paid overtime saturdays and sundays to pay for the mortage on my first flat and at some point I squeezed in projects, assignments and studied for exams 😯

At least you'll appreciate the holidays eh? 8)
