    Bit delayed but..

If your hotel is in the ‘joker’ card scheme there are a lot of free activities.

Just had a look for the leaflet my hotel handed out with all the activities but cant find it. A lot of the attractions are weather dependant too. There are zip lines, tree top rope walks, off road go karting, steel ‘luge’ runs etc.

    Where are you stu8t?

Could send you a map so you can get a heads up before you go.

One of the best runs I’ve ever done was by taking x-line lift. Push up to the next peak on made trail. Descend into Hinterglemm. Think this is the one jes is talking about. Most of the DH people don’t like the push up so it’s not as hammered as x line for instance.

Big 5 is a big day out.

X line a couple of times,
    Top of x-line to Hinterglemm,
Z line in Hinterglemm would be enough of a day for me.

    I could spend a fortnight in Saalbach/Hinterglemm/Leogang.

Wet day in Schladming today but there’s a couple of good days forecast for this area this week. Going to try ride Saalbach tomorrow and Leogang Thurs.

Leogang looks like being a wet one.

Next weeks forecast looks a fair bit better but I’ll be on the way back to sunny Yorkshire by then. Might try Bad Wildbad on the way home.

It’s not constant rain in this area so you can still ride without getting soaked.

    Sharkbait you are so STW.

Can I have your email address then when I have a problem and want the opinion of more than one person who go forbid may actually be able to offer some relevant guidance or opinion or may have had a similar experience you can just tell me to deal with it,move on,suck it up etc.

    Thanks everyone else.

Looking around online and with the benefit of hindsight there seem to be a lot of negative reviews for All Pond Solutions. Should have done more research before going to them. Could be worse I was told at the shop where my fish are being kept that another customer of APS had an 800 litre wall mounted tank fail in a 3rd story apartment. 25k of damage apparently.

‘Seems so. Were you expecting them to buy new carpet and reimburse your lost pay because a product failed out of warranty’

Obviously not. Anyone with a brain cell could tell I’d only included that to show how I’ve been inconvenienced. I mainly wondered if people thought it was ok for them to waste my time asking for photos and videos when they knew it was out of warranty at first contact.

‘Simply’ resealing it means removing gravel. Cleaning and drying the tank perfectly then recycling the tank so that ammonia, nitrate and nitrite levels don’t spike and kill any fish that are reintroduced.

I think a lot of people see these vids and don’t realise the progression involved to get to that level.

I remember selling a 2003 Aprilia RSV Mille which I was pretty handy on and bought a 2004 Kawasaki zx10r. It took a couple of weeks for my brain to get used to the higher acceleration. Blurred peripheral vision and a giddyness were common.

Road racing is about the only thing in life that blows my skirt up.

One I had to send back was small. Could tell looking at the box it was too small. Thought the 69/73mm bit would be the only thing I needed to check

    Loads nunuboogie.

I usually do 2 or 3 nights in the vaan then 1 in a hotel but didn’t bother last year. Stumbled on a campsite every time I had to shower.

Hotels are a bit of a waste if you’re rolling in late and tired and out early.

Was surprised by how chunky they were when they arrived. My impacts are only for dh use. Don’t think I’d want to do a lot of pedalling in them. Quality wise can’t say. Not had them long enough.

A bit sporty spice is the reason I went for standard Impacts. Or it could be because I’m not fast enough.

Russia Today has a specific remit to paint the West, particularly the EU, UK in particular and US in the most negative light possible inside and outside Russia. It is to it’s benefit for it to appear to uphold free speech as much as possible.

Anywhere where you might expect the UK or US media to be negative about something, then RT is positive about it. as an example, thinking back to the 2010 student protests in the UK. RT was very positive about them, “anti-government protesters” in the same way that our media has been positive about the motley crew of people who have got rid go the Ukrainian president, and been applauded for it by our media and political class, RT has broadly taken an opposite view.

I don’t think this specifically highlights a fundamental dishonesty behind what RT does, certainly not over and above the fundamental dishonesty of our state media (BBC) in this country, which lies, misrepresents and obfuscates reality in it’s news reporting all the time.

He has built an image through hard work in the art of illusionism that means he now has the money and trust to be able to buy the cutting edge and large scale ‘tricks’ from the minds at the top of the illusionist pyramid.

That plus the fact that they know if he was ever to shit on the trade he’d have to go back to work in Bratford

I am sure he won’t be particularly upset. He still earns gazillions more than any of us I could hope to.

Numbers don’t make me happy as long as I’m comfortable. He might be deeply wounded. Poor little sausage

They have actually signed 2 suitable people.

Gavin Emmett – Best commentator for me (and a good ol Leeds Lad)
James Toseland – Dull but insightful and analytical

    Julian Ryder – He’s ok

Neil Hodgson – I used to ride MotoGP you know, did you hear me?
    Mel Sykes – Erm
Craig Doyle – He’s done well on the TT coverage
Keith Huewen – Passionate I suppose

Actually Keith Huewen working with Mel Sykes..I see another court case coming..

Shame I won’t be watching it. Apart from on one of the constantly shutting down youtube channels that spring up a la US Supercross.

    Kyou BT sport.

EDIT On the upside we’ll never hear these catchphrases..

    That’s shot the fox
    Across the stripe
    Nightmare in a bubble car
He needs that like a third armpit

Always used to get on my nerves when Parrish used to say..”Oh he’s closed the gap, I wonder if that was because a is slowing or b is going faster now”. Well ‘Oracle’ if you realised that you were paid handsomely and flown to the other side of the world to do the job of looking at the timing screens you could tell us.

It’s dead simple if you’re on the ground and a sane person and what you are logging is straight in front of you at right angles to your body.

Risk is increased when you’re cutting in awkward positions/towards yourself/up trees. I’ve logged loads of things with an 18 inch bar’d Stihl chainsaw on the ground. Keep concentrating on what you’re doing, put the dog and kids inside and crack on.

If not enrol on a cs30/31 course but it’ll cost you £500+ and from memory takes at least a week.

Yes the agency option would have been the route.

I thought the life of the CPCS ticket would be limited as I’ve taken similar courses in the construction industry in the past but didn’t realise the next step would have to be NVQ.

NPORS is news to me. Will contact local centre tomorrow.

    Thanks woody
