    I’m doing the same.

Radio coverage starts at 9.45. Can’t find any definite info anywhere. Popular opinion on the latest it will start is 10.30

Looks like the rain isn’t going to stop it and it’s going to be freeeeezing. Should be good, been on the cards for long enough

Halifax so thanks for the offer but… 🙂

I need to build my own don’t I. Should be fun. Look out for a ‘what does x beeps from my motherboard mean?’ thread

Some good options there. I was just going to buy this Laziness Building my own is really appealing but I haven’t built one for years

Nice. I’ll have a play on there later.

Only problem is I haven’t got a version of windows to put on. This is how the PC Worlds seem to get a lot of business. When you add on the cost of windows operating system to a custom build it makes the big chain store options more competitive.

Not mad keen on Stoner as a personality it always looks like work to him when the rest of the paddock look like they’d do it for free for the love of it but…..people will look at the knife-edge riding of Casey on that dog of a bike in years to come and realise they didn’t give him the recognition he deserved.

First short ride today on a new Five I ordered 3 weeks before a bone graft on my arm. It was ready the day after my op:(

Been regrowing/recovering/stretching for the past 12+ weeks(8 in plaster) only to get the green light from the consultant this week.

Badly bruised my heel a couple of weeks ago which I still can’t walk on properly so I’ve been the proverbial bear in pain this last 2 weeks, can’t even walk the dog so to get out today even for a steady hour was magic.

Whenever you’re mid injury, totally down in the dumps you should never forget your day will come again and some people’s won’t.

    Enjoy your weekend peeps

Under the frame looking through the forks is cool. Just had a friend make a little mirror which I’ve siliconed onto the back of my fork stantion(?) Looks spunky. I’ll put some videos up on here when I can ride fast enough again

I hope your stove’s not too big and venting it doesn’t cause you problems with leaks. It’s something I looked at installing but insulating behind the ply lining and a Norweigian Army sleeping bag meant I was toasty enough.

High roof sprinter or vw crafter look like your best bet.

I owned a vito a couple of years ago and travelled round France in it, stopping in a hotel every few days to get showered and shaved. After I got rid of it I said I need one to be able to stand up in but they take up so much room. I live on quite a narrow road, Sprinter size vans are a pain in the arse to go shopping or into town in and quite noisy and uncomfortable to drive up to say a VW Transporter T5, which is what I’m now looking for myself. If I’d been travelling around France with more than my Scwinn Moab, a chemical loo and a camping stove I’d have needed a bigger van.

Depends how much you mind tramping it up.

Wonder how Thatcher feels knowing that people will celebrate her death. As a generally compassionate country it’s a rare occurence.

You’re watching Top of the Pops on BBC4 from 1976 and thinking 1976 was a pretty good year for pop music.

aka_Gilo You tell us the problem with a stagnant economy is people who have money available in some form not having the confidence to part with the money. Hence the ever decreasing circle of economic pessimism.

You have the money available. You must therefore be the block to such ‘progress’? Come on find the confidence. Think of the children

Not one single robbery(“where force or threats of force are used”)reported in Hebden Bridge in the last 6 months according to
    http://www.police.uk/crime/?q=Hebden%20Bridge,%20Calderdale%20HX7,%20UK#crimetypes

30 burglaries in 3 mile radius of my house! Seems a lot.

Sorry for your loss, must be a tough time. I have only read your original post so might be repeating something here but for me I’d take them.

I’ve been at funerals where youngsters have been and they’ve been uplifting for everyone else if anything. I’ve heard something said along the lines of ‘It’s alright mummy, grandma’s in heaven now’. Kids are resillient and full of hope. Depends on your little uns characters but I’d probably take them, they’ll not comprehend the significance enough for it to get them upset.

Brother’s got an Avalanche 3(?) hard tail.

Rides well, solid. Climbs really well. Feels like your sat on top if it (as opposed to feeling part of it) for the faster downhill stuff but yeah good climbing bike.

TJ – Looked at that one but I’ve already got one freeby. I wanted a spunky one that doesn’t even let water in.

Druid – The west coast road trip is happening this ‘summer’. It’s got to, I need some winter sustenance.
