You’ve got the Lefka Ori near there. The E4 route runs through them so you can head Sougia way or go up past the Killergi mountain hut and head into the heart of the mountain range. I tried to do Pachnes many years ago in July but was too much snow on top for biking alone.

I have just changed from 3×9 to 1×10 and haven’t noticed much difference. You do look for that lower chainring at first but I have still managed the same climbs so far. Just simpler.

Yep higher up you go the less hassle you get. Mainly because the obnoxious ramblers are usually too old and unfit to get that high. I was once confronted by about 20 on the road around the back from Ambleside to Rydal to Loughrigg. They were spread across the road and didn’t want to move then one Doris started insuring I should be passing on the right. I pointed out a) it was a road so I should be on the left and b) they were a bunch of co..s!

That’s a real shame as it was a great shop. I’ve bought a fair bit of stuff from there over the years. Had great stock for a small shop. Also price matched the Internet so really reasonable. Friendly staff and fun throwing ball towards the grapes for the dog too . Activ in Corbridge looked empty in comparison.

I popped mine in to Ride Cycles Newcastle this week for few bits done at 1. Phoned shortly after to say it was done! Pretty good service. And they are also now a fox service centre so handy to know you could pop forks or shock into a local shop.

I am going to test mine properly tomorrow on the DW 5 spot. But even locally the difference from the old RP23 is noticeable. Still need to dial it in correctly but it is buttery smooth. I don’t think the medium is going to cause me any problems by the looks of it. What a bargain.

I used to work as an evangelist with young people in my twenties for a born again church. I think evolution should be compulsory in every school. Anything else is just make believe as I realised later in life. Secular schooling is the way forward with RE as the place for all faiths to be discussed on an equal footing.

Loco you didn’t but a few others have in this thread in respect of 5 spots. Appears to be the common perception on 5 spot threads. I also thought that was true having looked at all the shock threads for 5 spot owners. Turns out its not as simple as that then.

Oh well seeing as its started I will put my hands up to this as I called them. I am going to try sticking with medium and see how it goes on 5 spot. Interestingly, while not the same advice I passed on, I did find this which backs up campfreddie’s comment. Differs from there being not much difference though.
