Good job they have full time mechanics, eh?

But it’s only when bleeding them they become an arse, which is what 2/3 times a year?

It’s not even that much of a pain you just have to watch the video/instructions as you do them.

Or take out rim tape then run two turns of 50p insulation tape round the rim 😉

    Av(o)id. Cheap for a reason.

I think the number of world cup XC wins goes against that judgement.

    What Jef said.

I love elixirs I love their bite and they way they feel, I’ve got them on all my Mountain bikes, but they are a pain in the arse to bleed. You definitely need the proper bleed kit and it’s a faff but when you get the knack it’s actually quite easy.

Har far far better than I Hope they Fit, I Hope they don’t break I Hope I stop

I love the self centre type thing on the caliper..piece of cake!

You can either afford the Rohloff or you can’t.

Surely the answer is that simple.

Yesterday’s ride was broadly split into 2 groups- those who had flat pedals, and those who had SPDs that didn’t work because they were full of ice. Real cycling

If your pedals are full of ice, you’re doing it wrong!

There are three common positions for Flat pedals:

    RAD
    DUUUUDE
    & GNARRRRLY

For real cycling put SPD’s back

Radio 2 on in the kitchen having lunch…thankfully back in the office now and the sanctity of Radio 4.

Blood pressure rose with that ‘wagon driver’ most likely from Yorkshire going on about having to shock horror slow down or drive around another person in his road.

My view on the whole matter is this…The right of way on all highways and footpaths should be given to the most vulnerable user, the only exception on this should be on Motorways.

    Quite possibly far to simplistic.

Eye of the tiger was used in Rocky featuring Sylvester Stallone

    Sylvester Stallone was in Rambo

Rambo first blood 2 was a screenplay by James Cameron

    James Cameron directed The Abyss

    I like this game 🙂

what’s with…people using rigid forks on their mountain bikes?

Because it makes my tiny penis feel bigger when I overtake people riding suspension bikes and knee pads down technical sections on a steel clunker in my road kit.

(Oh and I do have a beard at the moment…but I’ve just forgotten to charge the clippers)

I ran the “Newnham Stinger” last year in the Pegasus they seemed ok and stood up to the bog/hell/river running 3km last section…I’m considering getting something different perhaps a little racier as I’m a slightly stronger runner 12 months on, and the pegasus are to be fair looking pretty ropey now.

I am aware that getting a new shoe a month before a race is perhaps a bit daft..not sure how long my feet take to get used to new shoes…might have a look at the running shop, although I hate to admit I do tend to go to Sports Soccer to buy most running as they are just cheap.

Oh of course. Fancy looking out for your son when he’s being kicked by someone older and stronger.

Older and stronger my arse he was 17 bloody years old…I heard the story and assumed he was 10-12years old!

The ballboy actually deserved a kicking for his antics.

(not that I know the first thing about soccer)

I’ve got the Air Pegasus Trails.

Quote a bit of cushion in them but then again my trail runs also take in a lot of hard pack fire roads.

They seem to work fine for me but I’m not a terribly good runner!

That’s not a massive amount to spend, though you should get a 200ish T4 for around 3k with alloys/maybe insulation.

I’d still prefer a Vito myself for looks but the missus is big on the VW thing!

Vito’s of that era are known for rust, pretty much given a one coat job on the chassis.

We’ve got a T4 conversion and I really hate VW’s and the whole VW anker types that seem to drive them. I’ve always wanted a Vito as I think they just look much better, despite being marginally smaller on the inside than a T4 but after looking a few over I’ve now decided to steer clear.

Not 100% certain this counts as I run my own company like.

I’d secured a few bits of work with a newish client but after a bunch of chit chat back and forth over the brief and the cost implications of various web and print packages I could offer him for a rather big job he sends and email essentially saying he wanted this doing for this amount of money in around 4 weeks.

My email turnaround was about 45secs telling him where he could nip off to.

I’m running 1×9 XTR 34/11-34 with Rotor cranks….I had a few teething issues most notably from the SuperShite Components chain guide (MRP) don’t don one which fits my plastic press fit BB/chain line on the crank. but now with some sturdying up for the rigours of XC racing it’s all good.

    It’s lighter it’s simpler.

    I wouldn’t go back.

I got a puma compression base layer from TKMaxx not far off a teener.

It’s thin enough so I can slide my arm warmers and jersey over the top. adds that extra layer of warmth.
