I’ll be going through the antique merchants to find something utterly unique and with a history i reckon.

    It’s pure power, that’s what it is…

To be fair I’ve had 9-spd chains held together with 3 power links before and they’ve lasted a good 6 months before I swap them out for new (but then again I don’t have the choice to spaff £35 on a chain every time they snap in which case I probably would).

    Genuine Q, please.
Are children really that expensive ?.

Yes but No, before child we had perhaps quarterly city breaks to Barcelona/Paris, We drank more wine, We smoked, We went to the theatre/cinema, bought CD’s and dined out far more than we do now.

So when you factor in the amount you actually save when having a child it has pretty much balanced itself out, I don’t earn a great deal being a self employed designer but we were able to afford the missus having a years maternitiy and she’s going back part time. and I’ve just about to spaff a load of money on a new plastic 29er so they can’t be that bad.

I can’t stop giggling at the photo of a Pick-Up truck with a bike rack on the back.

I think that sums up missing the point.

I would go with a Series IIA but that’s simply for nostalgia not practicality.

I’ve bent two SuperstarOnes (Tube mounted as my cranks have a different chainline to the standard Shimano and my frame is plastic pressfit job) since modding it with plastic I haven’t had any problems.

With Puy and Green lentils I like their flavour so just cook them till just under then toss around around in white wine/salt/pepper/garlic/butter seasoning type affair. (never served with something venison though always delicate stuff like fishes)

With the venison I’d plump for roasted parsnip mash and a redcurrant and red wine sauce (do a beurre blanc but with red wine and redcurrants)

    Never will he be overtaken.

Nobody will ever equal that wave on Teahupoo.

(well apart from my epic 4-6ft day at Skateparks 😉 back along)

Unplug it, leave it unplugged plug it back in 30 seconds later then turn in back one 30 sec after this resets the whachamajoggs. (For the Macbook pro take out the battery)

Reset the PRAM silly thing but often works when for no apparent reason they start doing stupid things. Option Alt P R I think it is…hold them down at restart and keep them held down till you’ve heard the chime a few times.

I’ve no idea if these will help, but to be honest I’m about sick of Mountain Lion and it’s glitches I’m got a Mac pro and twin Cinema screens Photoshop will lock out, cursors will vanish in InDesign from one screen to the other or just Buzz and flicker.

I’ve not had one problem and I swore it ran faster in Snow Leopard (which I reckon was their best OS since back in the day)

A Wilier with Shimano is just wrong…but ho hum.

I’d persoannly look at something that will go beyond the duration of just doing the JOGLE so maybe a sportive type build that you could put a more comfortable position for consecutive 100+mile days…though it depends on how long you’re taking, are you aiming at 5days or are you taking a relaxed ride all quite important factors rather than just carbon vs aluminum vs steel

As trite as it may sound our neighbour in her congratulations card wrote

“welcome to the best, smelliest, noisiest, most stressful club in the world”

She was right and it is…she sleeps with us in the campervan, comes to races did her (I should point out I was riding around for 24hrs not her) first 24hour this year and so long as you’re not one of the types that follow ‘the contented baby’ bullshit and allow your baby to flow around your life it hasn’t really changed our way of life as drastically as we first thought.

Run my own ship so it’s both ball ache and brilliant I can find myself doing a ride over dartmoor on empty midweek roads as much as I can find myself working till 11pm, the staff are shite and I never get find it easy to make time off for holidays…The plus side is my office is at home and I can see my daughter all day everyday 🙂

but why would Wiggins say he was beat by 3 better men when he came 4th, if he knew at least one was doping

You could spin that in a very cynical way…

Personally I believe keeping quiet protected the sport…especially if you’re just making a name for yourself the last thing you want to do is rock the boat…

You rock the boat when you’re washed up retired and need the cash… Millar, Landis, Hamilton et al

I assume you’ve got Chain Whip, Cassette Tool, BB Spanner, Torx Keys etc?

I would also suggest a 4 pack of beer and fcking great rubber hammer. (though this depends entirely on the distance you go between strip downs)

However both Wiggins and Cavendish have made comments or had photo’s taken in the past with Armstrong which imply they did not know about his dopping at the time.

Surely it implies they did know about the doping back then, crickey if you can ride in the tour of that era and not know about doping, come off it?

You do have to be patient…order and them wait a month but that’s their companies USP, bulk buy savings.

I always thought it was to seal the nipple holes in the rim.

But as you say once the strip has created a seal this shouldn’t matter, next wheels I do i’ll skip that step.

I put stans in the pram wheels. There are some pretty nasty nicks in the tyres, but couldn’t tell you if the stans has worked it’s magic or not, they certainly haven’t sprayed out jizz everywhere.

Wouldn’t be seen dead with a Camelback

Two water bottles one with water one with those Zeros from High 5, good stuff doesn’t taste claggy like some of the SIS stuff.

In my back pockets a few cereal type bars from the breakfast cupboard or flapjack if I’ve made any that week, one banana and then a couple of Gels, or Bloks just in case of bonking.

Stans rim tape aside, what would you guys recommend to tape up the rims? Cheers. Luke.

Just run standard insulation tape around them a couple of turns (take out the old rim tape first), keep an even stretch then just pop the BMX tube through.

    Artisan Breadmaker.

Is there any other type of bread maker or does the artisan in the title just mean he wears tighter jeans, wears superfluous glasses and grew the beard?

I make about three loaves a week how do I know if I’m just baking bread or baking Artisan bread?

I found my Oakley frames on the interweb for chips and then went to specsavers to have them glazed in their super high index, it worked out the cheapest way by far to get them.

2 for 1’s never work out for me as I always have to pay extra for high index lenses.

Why can’t it go down unused coal mines?

+1 Stick it all in Yorkshire.

Though it stinks of Nimbyism, down in Devon/cornwall we get a lot of it. Some rich tits from London buy a nice weekend house, then get their stink up when Tesco want to build a superstore that would provide a couple of hundred jobs, Wind farms bringing in contract or a new road.

On the subject of background radioation I’m sure the granite of Dartmoor would kick out more than that would.

We’ve got netflix…seems to stream quite well on all the macs in the house, it’s quite sluggish on the iTV thing but maybe that’s because the router (TV box thing) is really quite a long way away from the router and it’s an old house.

    😀

Did it have a small spacer that goes between the wheel and the cassette?

My Mavic Crossride did, I found the spacer glued in crud to the cassette.

Cycling shortens the hamstrings doesn’t it?

If it’s massively important I’d try some simple gentle yoga strecthes on a daily basis.
