    I am not racist but

    Priceless 🙂

I remember back along when I lived in S7 Carterknowle Road had scrawled on it ‘Whites Out’

I think this is brilliant, but then again I’ve been a fan or at least felt for him since the times idiotic soccer fans were burning effigies of him in the street for missing a goal.

However, I’m sure that donating 3m to charity will do his tax bill some serious favours 😉

I’m not sure if mine is the red eye or not but it plugs via a cable to my joystick I use for road riding.

It’s brighter than the sun* which is great in that a) there’s no chance of cars not seeing you b) it is so annoyingly bright my turns on the front are always much shorter 😉

I’d definitely go for the Exposure jobby expensive though it may be.

    pretentious self-important drivel.

When you’ve had the likes of Morrisey, Bob **cking Dylan, Billy Brag and Nick Cave mentioned I think Scroobius Pip is the one of the least pretentious self-important drivel mongers on this thread! 🙂

It sounds a lot but probably isn’t…

I mean if you say it’s £35 a person a night that £105 of it already!

Yes there is a maxle version of both I imagine they will just be a little heavier.

I’d see if anyone else has anything to say over the Reba QR vs SID Maxle…the SID is clearly the better fork and both are great value bikes.

I’m choosing to get the lower spec bike because:
    1) I prefer the colour
    2) I already have the high end parts I can just swap over onto the new bike.

I think you can upgrade the bike for less than €540 that was mine and the LBS’s general consensus. the one up from the Race wasn’t worth it unless you went into the Elite range.

If you look at it, you’re only really getting a bit extra XT you can find this bargain bucket OE stuff from the likes of Merlin, CRC and the wheels but you can get for as little as £264 for Hope/Crest whilst not super light they are a light and durable wheelset.

From SRAMS website (though I did raise an eyebrow)

Reba RL 29″: 1564g, *Weight based on 265mm tapered steerer, 9mm QR lower leg, Dual Air

SID RL 29″: 1584 g, *Weight based on 265mm tapered steerer, 9mm QR lower leg

So far as I am aware they are standard 9mm QR’s not Maxles….bloody hope so!

There is the argument that maxles will increase the rigidity of the front end, but at my weight and the riding it will do I just don’t see the advantage. to be honest I’ve never really felt my wheels wobble the only time I’ve ever known my wheels wobble is feeling the brake rubbing again my rims when really sprinting hard (road)

Is there something else similar I’ve missed?

    That it’s a BMW?

OOOH I’ve just bought one of those 🙂

I’ve gone with the Race 29er and have bargained in with the LBS a pair of Hope/Crests to shed a few hundred and I’ll lose a few more by upgrading with XT, XTR, Carbon USE blingage from my old 26 ‘Race’ bike.

I will be using mine for XC jeyness and Endurance events.

Specialized ‘Bar Phat’ I think it is on all of my roadbikes (white of course as it is the fastest of all of the coulours)

I don’t get the stuff with pads in I just cut up old mouse mats, it works surprisingly well.

Mark – sorry to post on this thread now. It was meant as a bit of a joke but I think, for you, it’s probably pretty stressful having to deal with all this.

That’s utter tosh, why apologise for it being stressful?

They are still advertising you can get a free saddle when by their own admission they’ve gone and changed that The gift has now changed btw. Details in the free gifts page but it us now a set of Lezyne lights.

Surely that fly’s in the face of some form of trade descriptions act false advertising malarkey.

The only trouble with the Hope ones would be stopping.

Personally I’d go further up the Elixir range to 9’s or X’s

But Shimanos are idiot proof and good at stopping you too.

(Neither should require different mounts assuming you keep the same size rotors)

I would love a T5 sized van but I’m not using campsite toilets and in bad weather pooing in the bushes is not fun!

Just open the door and piss out the side…It’s a great way to scare the dog walkers at South Fistral 😉

We have a T4 with the typical lowering and Audi TT wheels, R&R bed and Kyham Pop up Awning for Races and the like. Now we’ve added to the family I’m just about to put a 3/4 bed in (Pull Tested) rip out the Half Bulkhead and drop captain seats in and build a bit of a buddy box type thing down the side with stow aways so it’s all a bit more slick.

For 24hour events and stuff we have a porta loo
