I’ve had several ‘artistic’ differences in the past and no it’s never worked out well…but I’m not very diplomatic.
billyblackheartFree MemberWhat makes you so sure i dont have a carbon fibre bike?
I wasn’t aware I had insinuated that you didn’t?
The fear I was referring to was to some of the general frame failing, not if it was free, unethical to sell, dead under a bus, beyond use type remarks over what looks like a fairly superficial crack in the lacquer!
billyblackheartFree Memberif your doing 40 miles a day commuting youll piss that enduro.
What he said, you’re riding 60km a day on the road, so just think of the enduro as equalling two commutes in one day.
billyblackheartFree Memberwhy are there so many people wanting Hamilton to fail?
I wouldn’t say I want him to fail, there are just more ‘attractive’ people in the sport to support.
I would prefer to see Button do well. More charming, less whinging and a triathlete!
What he said
billyblackheartFree MemberJust something more for him to whinge, blame, moan about.
billyblackheartFree MemberI’m always surprised at the carbon fibre fear, It reminds me of the start of ‘2001’ where the monkeys are jumping up and down at the sight of the monolith.
Carbon is one of the best materials to repair even though to be honest the repair might be a bit fugly because they’ll be hard pressed to match the cube graphics.
billyblackheartFree MemberBuy an art and crafts set and get yer nipper to make em.
What he said…
We’ve have some cards from those ‘personalised’ printing services like Funky Pig, Moon places mostly look tacky.
billyblackheartFree MemberI’ve got Shimano (a few year old Ultegras) on the winter road and I use Fulcrums on the summer bike.
Despite having hardly any spokes the Shimanos are seemingly stiffer possibly down to a slightly deeper rim and they are very quiet, which is really quite nice in a chaingang as you don’t feel guilty coasting 🙂
The fulcrums spin up to speed a lot quicker than the shimanos they are marginally lighter, but I do find out of saddle grunting the brakes are rubbing the rims so they must be more flexible…but the freewheel is also utterly annoying.
billyblackheartFree Memberstamp on it and bin it.
Seconded, I now stamp on mine after seeing a few helmets being sold at the local tip :-/
(edit- I now have a couple of catlikes these I will probably keep as they are a thing of beauty)
billyblackheartFree MemberTo get near my bikes they’d have to pass my office with a couple of shiny mac pros and and some nice apple displays…I hope this is enough to distract them.
If that wasn’t distraction enough they’d have to carry them down three flights of stairs and build them when they got outside.
billyblackheartFree Member^ Robh we’ve got a fair roll of that stuff left over from insulating the headlining if you want it. Call it 50% of what you can get it for in B&Q?
billyblackheartFree MemberThere is no plausible excuse for not being able to get to a post office the day after…unless you live in the Outer Hebridies or something.
If he says he can’t post it till saturday and you emailed him today then you’ve effectively cancelled the purchase and he should give a full refund.
Thats what I think
billyblackheartFree MemberAll the people linking to him are doing is increasing the ranking of HIS site, so driving business to HIM.
Actaully it’s to rank this page over other pages given the same search criteria.
So for instance if you typed “Berkshire Carpets and Blinds”
you would get results for Blinds and Carpet people in Berkshire.
You wouldn’t get anything about dangerous driving and quite clearly multiple instances of dangerous driving and a disgusting attitude towards other road users.
So if you searched for a Blinds and Carpet people in Berkshire.
You may at least now have an informed opinion about the sort of person you are employing
billyblackheartFree MemberSo, in the case of Berkshire Carpets and Blinds:
Web: http://www.berkshirecarpetsandblinds.co.uk
Tel: 0118 907 8799
email: enquiries@berkshirecarpetsandblinds.co.ukIf you were in wider Berkshire and required carpets and blinds and your local area code was not 0118, you would dial 0118 907 8799 to get Berkshire Carpets and Blinds.
If you were in Reading itself and required carpets and blinds and your local area code was indeed 0118, you would dial 907 8799 to get Berkshire Carpets and Blinds.
However, in these days of the internet there are many other ways of contacting Berkshire Carpets and Blinds shold you require carpets or blinds in Berkshire such as their website
Web: http://www.berkshirecarpetsandblinds.co.uk
Tel: 0118 907 8799
email: enquiries@berkshirecarpetsandblinds.co.ukor by email
Web: http://www.berkshirecarpetsandblinds.co.uk
Tel: 0118 907 8799
email: enquiries@berkshirecarpetsandblinds.co.ukand, of course, as we’ve discussed, by phone
Web: http://www.berkshirecarpetsandblinds.co.uk
Tel: 0118 907 8799
email: enquiries@berkshirecarpetsandblinds.co.ukNo matter how you made contact with Berkshire Carpets and Blinds I’m sure they’d be more than happy to speak to you about fitting your carpets or blinds in Berkshire.
I wasn’t aware about that stuff about area codes
billyblackheartFree MemberI’m struggling to see the point of those packashacks.
Looks like something a Londoner would use to change into their wetsuit.
billyblackheartFree MemberDon’t worry about the kitchen…I thought I had bowel cancer the first time 😉
I drink it in the run up to long races and events…I can’t say for certain that it worked or if it was the fact I was being more conscientious in my diet but I do feel less fatigued and suffered less cramps.
I drink one medium glass a day for 7 days preceding an event (I think that’s what it said in Cycling weekly ages so stuck to that).
Oh and ‘Beet it’ that’s the nicest tasting of them I’ve found.
billyblackheartFree MemberWe use Khyam we didn’t use the Gutter strip but went with putting eyelets in and running guys over the van makes driving away much easier.
I think one thing most khyam owners do once is put the Sliding door through the side 🙂
Can’t fault them really and from driving in to beer is a matter of minutes.
billyblackheartFree MemberHow many times do we need to say

Was that http://www.berkshirecarpetsandblinds.co.uk ?BERKSHIRECARPETSANDBLINDS or berkshire carpets and blinds ?
Is their telephone 0118 907 8799 ? and email enquiries@berkshirecarpetsandblinds.co.ukYou know what, I’m pretty sure it is that berkshire carpets and blinds and not another berkshire carpets and blinds
before this is the top hit on google?
seventyteenth times
billyblackheartFree Memberregardless of road/mtb/nichemonger status.
I couldn’t help a fixie rider…I just couldn’t
billyblackheartFree MemberNot sure how to get this through the draconian swear filter from the baptist churchmoderators….
Try the Fu ck Buttons
Tarot Sport is an amazing album.
billyblackheartFree MemberI had this the week we found out…I felt like shit, thought about running off, thought about suggesting aborting it then felt ***ed right up, I wasn’t ready, I couldn’t be a dad, scared shitless, the whole gamut of emotions. I kept them pretty much to myself and just worked through the fear it’s all fairly normal.
They passed within a month or so then It all started getting exciting with the Birth Classes and preparing bedrooms buying clothes and you got carried in the whole wave of stuff and now I can’t think of the life before without chuckling…we’re taking her away (18mth) abroad in a few months, we still go to the same old races (her first was about 9mths old, we take her out to all the same old restaurants, and we’re not exactly struggling as much as we thought we would financially, despite the missus only going back 2 days a week.
I’m not pontificating but just stick with it for a bit, you just sound scared.
billyblackheartFree MemberCharge Spoon, and Charge Knife…but that’s for my arse.
The only way to recommend a saddle is to try them yourself.
billyblackheartFree MemberNot for the sake of the baby but for the sake of the mashing machine I rinse down my bike gear…just imagine the sand and rock grinding round the seals and drums at 1200rpm of a washing machine…nothing more boring than shelling out for new white goods!
billyblackheartFree MemberI think it depends on your partner and how she will react to the new arrival, my partner was very independent, had a very well paid job, loved the social side of work etc
But when the child arrived the thought of going back to work full time went out of the window!
I work from home and she’s gone back 2 days a week…so far the ship seems to be sailing on an even keel.
billyblackheartFree MemberI’ve just got another plastic Hardtail into the house…she is putting her foot down I must sell the Full Suss Frame I built up then never rode so if anyone want a Fuel EX8 for about £300 it needs to go, before I do 🙂
billyblackheartFree MemberRoad bikes are for riding,
Nah, they’re for sitting around drinking coffee aren’t they…
On sunday I had just taken the child out swimming and she was fast asleep in the pram so walked to the bike shop on the Quayside for a coffee. A group of rather portly older gents turned up….Pinarello Dogma with Carbones, Willier Imperialle, Independent Fabrications they had some serious bike porn to coo over between them.
They must have been there for over an hour whilst I waited for the missus to come back from the car boot sale and when she turned up and we left they were still there, just drinking coffee eating cakes, the mind boggles.
billyblackheartFree MemberYou should think carefully about your packaging and how easy it is
to open and put back together so that the integrity of the product
can be maintained to enable resale. What exactly is the product?
Most Shimano Components come packaged in very easy to open and easy to reassemble boxes I think they’re being quite fair. You’ve thrown away the packaging then later you’ve changed your mind and decided you don’t actually want the product anymore…(rather than open the box and realise they’ve sent a 34.9mm clamp instead of 36.4mm for instance)
billyblackheartFree Member…my own recent experience with CRC, do you care if a new item is chipped/scratched/etc when you receive it?
Don’t buy OEM stuff from the likes of CRC/Merlin then, simple.
billyblackheartFree MemberNow that really is shite. they send me a chainstay protector worth a tenner at most in a box big enough to sleep rough in but squeeze a frame into that. hardly any packing either.
bad show crcBest effort I had from CRC was 2 separate parcels on for a new pair of SIDI’s the second shoe sized box was the 99p 3 rubber cable grommets I needed to get the 10% voucher!
billyblackheartFree Memberwhile others will have laughed so hard that their screen is now covered in phlegm
I believe that just about covers it 🙂
billyblackheartFree MemberYou mean the bar tape and stuff? I run white tape black charge saddle, I did used to have a white Knife but that’s on the current winter race mtb, I think on the willier I’ve an EC90 post and Pro stem, but I might have put that on the dolan for winter…I generally see MTB parts and Road parts as interchangable 🙂
I’m just waiting for someone to quote the velominati rules as if they weren’t a joke…
billyblackheartFree MemberHe is very very good on the Infinite Monkey cage, Though I’ve never seen him on the Television.
billyblackheartFree MemberMight pop over for a gander on the road bike…looks a bit like it will be full of Gnarl Rad Types, still don’t understand this Ednure set up. I did the Kona Mash Up at Afan years back and that was cool as the Downhillers had to ride the XC stuff same as the XCer’s had to ride the Downhill stuff…this to me just looks like a bunch of Downhill ride linked by the Blue route?
Tyre’s for haldon and the off piste stuff…Rocket Rons 🙂
£45 I think that’s what I pad for TwentyFour12 this year! but then again there are 1000+ people there.
billyblackheartFree MemberSet up properly Elixirs are my favouritest of all the brakes.
They are however an arse to bleed, I have to have the laptop with me watching the Sram video step by step…it’s becoming second nature now, I think I could nearly recite the procedure!
billyblackheartFree MemberI reckon you’d be pretty much safe on the Princetown, down ‘Widowmaker’, through Sheepstor and back up along the motorway path back up to princetown.
I quite like that loop.
