Onzadog/M6TTF: what tires will/will not fit crests? Do you reckon it has to do with the type of bead? I know alot of companies are moving to the tubless beat type. Thank for all the input

haha, yea it’s a serious post, I live in WV and all my friends ride bontrager or american classic for the most part. Not many people with hopes either, but I can tell on here that they’ve got to be good, this many people can’t be wrong…would the crest be tough enough for a 140mm travel hardtail? I’ve got a 456 and ride in really rocky/rooty stuff.

Hey, I’m about 5’8-5’9 and mine is an 18in frame 90mm stem, easton vice post. I got that size based on TT length as Brant suggested. I rode a 17in Fisher with a 23.9in TT before the 456 so I just went off of that. After 2 seasons with this bike I’m still happy with it’s fit and feel, would like to get a 70mm stem tho…

great thread! I’m new to the forum but this is my ride. 456 with 130mm recon 327 up front, 1×8 trans, avid mech brakes.
I’m looking at getting a soul next, but I’m not sure. Has anyone ridden both 456 and soul?

Hey guys I’m new to the forum and though I’d add to this. I’m from the east coast of the US and it would seem from my perspective that the uk is moving away from the trends in the US at least. Every LBS I go into has more 29ers than anything else, and they look they they are becoming the norm on the local trails. I personaly hate 29ers, they just don’t do it for me, and last year I bought a “uk specific” hardtail and I absolutly love it. Best bike purchase to date. So if that is the direction you guys are moving in, then rock on and sign me up, cause in my opinion you guys are the only ones that are making stuff that makes any sense…and thats fine with me. 🙂
