need is a relative term, I feel i can ride anything on my HT, so I don’t need a FS to ride rocky stuff…however if i rode really rocky/rough terrain on a daily basis, I’m sure my back and fillings would prob want to argue that point a bit…it all depends on how and where you ride…where I’m at shredding on a HT is more fun than on a FS though sometimes I miss the squish on the super rough sections

Giant…if only for the rabid fanboys (biggest bike brand, blah blah…Trek is the biggest actual brand, giant just makes alot of bikes for other people…and no I don’t ride a Trek) tho I’m really peeved at them for their new “standard” for steerer tubes…complete bs if you ask me…

love my 456, had nothing but good experience with brant in the past, I just hope he sorts out that crazy steep geometry on those titus frames….

i would say that for the money they are pretty good, tho I’d stick them in a stand and check them b4 I fitted them IMO.

In OPs defence to order online & out of country, sometimes that is necessary, for instance I had to order my frame from the UK because nothing like that was offered at that time in the US.

did you bring up that it would just be easier for you to send the frame back and not “give it a go”? I understand you being frustrated about the QC mishaps, but in my experience Brant, while very “about face” in convo, is a very genuine guy who prob takes pride in his work, I doubt that was the long term fix. Maybe he was just trying to make sure you didn’t miss riding time?

never owned a soda, but it is def an endurance racer IMHO. It’s made for a 120mm fork and if you love the BFe then the soda might make the transition from one to the other more seamless as they are the same geometry just different fork length and usage (material aside), if it ain’t broke don’t fix it I’d say…

my point exactly JAG. I’d love to see it tested for strength tho, cos that’s really light if it were proven to be strong enough. looks a bit “to good to be true” at the moment, however those graphics look the part IMO.

any of the new giants…its the hideously long headtube i think…just looks a bit off to me. The wet noodle tube profiles don’t help much either…

IMO I would make the chainring on the last one 2D but keep it silver, and try making the words read mtb ARENA or switch fonts between the two words to better distinguish between them…you’re getting closer on that last one…sorry but the first two were just dreadful
