Brief update – reality is kicking in 😢 watching my kids and wife off to play football in the park, not being able to get up to do anything quickly, lots of swearing and tears, pain I’ve never experienced coupled with cancelling customers – all pretty rubbish.
Positives – so many – people just being ace, my family, my new found drive to get this shot sorted.
I’m up for trying any method to get better well and get better quickly, never been a quitter but this is a whole new me, no self pity, just gonna sort shit out.

Opportunity to take a different view on my business And plan to grow and improve it, review what’s going well and how I can adapt, get the paper side sorted, finish off my professional development stuff for now. So many things!!

Anyway off to make lists!! Speak soon

First night done, cocodamol before sleep. Stairs are hard – bedroom on 2nd floor – loo on first floor – first tears of frustration have flowed. Pain is very real but bearable

As well as the physio I’m planning an extensive stay fit process and then a lot of road or gravel rides.
Any exercises I can do without the knackered leg? Also to strength later apart from calf raises what can I do?

Need a large rd or gravel bike for winter miles and summertime smiles

@steveh it was almost too dry and I didn’t commit – my fault totally. I had the op 12 hours ago with a stroke of luck the foot and ankle specialist was in BC and had a spare slot so That worked well. I’ve had a lower leg nerve block so not felt anything at all since but it’s slowly starting to prickle back into some sensation, scary time seeing your foot and it not doing anything at all 😖 hopefully I get to go home soon to see my family And my god has it been tough not being able to hug them. The road to recovery starts here.
