I’ve a plate and screws too in my fibula. Feedback is what I’m worried about from the pedals. Looking at doing some turbo work with my physio a week Friday which will be 30 days post operation.
Live and ride in Sheffield and access to smooth roads never mind trails (as all Sheffield locals will testify) is minimal. It’s going to be a go hard or go home situation 😅
@funkydunc paracetamol has been my post op go to so I’d disagree that it’s naff all use. Also it’s a placebo too when waiting for emergency services. makes the casualty feel like something is being done in a long wait
@boxwithawindow
That is what i want to hear. Love my Stanton, literally perfect for me until this. Physio wise I’m doing the surgeons physio work plus work from my private physio. Desperate to regain fitness and for this to be an opportunity for me to be a better and stronger (physically and mentally) version of myself.
Live in Crookes and love it, riding round here is ace, food and drinking is amazing – no name for food, cawa for coffee, plus whaletown too. Friendly local bike mechanic (Ahem and a great vibe in general
I’m currently in the bath soaking an aching ankle after doing all my physio exercises today and walking a bit. Far further forward from where I thought I’d be now. Absolutely shattered though today – mentally and physically.
Early night tonight for me.
Get well soon all on this thread and beyond
No mocking just intrigued by it to be honest. A bikes a bike and it needs building and setting up safely. I am more concerned about how long it will take me to do as about a million pieces
@tracey everyone I’ve dealt with at the northern general has been a biker or climber, ace bunch and so understanding of how important it is to get back stronger
Healing vibes to pair of you (your daughter) too. Its head **** of not being able to do basics like carry a cuppa, nip anywhere, feeling a clumsy peter crouch etc
