spds revolutionised cycling and make a difference to anyone, however shurter would still be better than anyone on flats, spds are just in a different league to flats,if you can’t get used to them fair enought
but they do make a difference if you can.

wait for monthy pythonesque telling….
shifters work by cable pulling rear mech right?…yes.
mechs dont have special brains they do what the shifter tells them too right?…goood.
the only difference is spacing and leverage ratio’s of mech but put remains different for the shifter…..we all follow? good class.
now people will stop talking about rear mechs with inconsistant cable pull.good.leverage yes.pull is constant but different shifter means less pull needed for the 10 cogs.
so it will work.
ok
Bruce hope it helps
or do what i did and get someone to make me a custom one out of carbon plate and cnc al and ti bolts which weighs 34g and didnt drop a chain once….
Bruce

im the biggest bike nerd ever
to start…toray t900 fibres used in SOME frames…so not all and its only adding a bit say 500.di2 is expensive but chainset and brakes are cheap and standard.
bars are not expensive as is saddle say 200 and stem 100 bars 300 if they're newton carbons….
the wheels would cost roughly 1800 so..
frame 3000
wheels 1600
groupset 2000
srm professional. 2800
bars,stem saddle 500.
cool paint…400?
= not 12000
