no offence fast boy but your slow compared to me,you copied the cane creek shock, you break the countryside code…..oh hope you had fun at lazer quest though
bruce
i care about weight because you feel the difference but always run decent rubber and saddles because there important.i weight 73kg and im 6ft3 so i think i couldnt lose anymore weight with out significant power loss.my bikes are some of the lightest in the uk nps but theyre still great to ride and on hills you can tell…
my side
Bruce
umm hate to break it to nick et all but i was curious to see and i just got an 970 mech working with 980 shifters on a 10spd 11-36… sram ive not tried but xtr works
move over…they have the right of way,its hard to race when your stuck behind back markers…ive never riden anyone off in a mtb race but in cross i have.If your being lapped you pull over…thats all there is too it …today i had a mare but pulled over for the fastest guys
um…if theyre ridable on the cross bike your not going fast enough…
seriously no one gets this concept of speed of racing,i dont mind because this isnt a racing forum but at least people agree that its a raceable course with interesting sections
Bruce
Ill speaks to kenta and see how he thinks it rode but it looks pretty good, and techy in places.
Anyone can ride the sections once slowly when your not out of breath…but try it on the 6th lap after 1hr45 at 90percent of max heart rate on a 100mm hardtail with 2.1 tyres.
thats the difference between you and absalon
Bruce
guys,if you wana take a pack take one.Its about what you want to get out of it….personally;i have my bikes set up so i dont need any of the following: shock pump.why? i mean check before you go….
Spare pads….again look after your bike and it will look after you.
More than 3 tubes, ride tubeless with stans.
they annoy me on mechanic terms.
Its baisic principle to fully check your bike over before a ride,or usually in my case after so its sorted for next time.I learnt it slowly from experience at a young age riding by myself that mum cant always pick you up if something goes wrong.
I alway have a quick release saddle bag containing;
trail tool, with ten things on so not mega bike.
Chain tool.Snapped chains arent cool….
1 pedros tyre lever….my thumbs are steel after glueing tubs from the age of 10.
One tube.
one slime patch for said tube.
And a little plastic bag to fit a rolled up 10 pound note and 4 twenty pences in.
Then trial pump in pocket and your sorted.
2 Bottle cages on the bike on the road bike and 1 on the mtb and other bottle in the middle jersey pocket. Then paclite gillet with my phone rolled in and 2 bars 2 gels and a mars and banana in the other pocket .
That does you on rides up to 2 hr45 hrs over that same amount of food but extra bottle in jersey if on the road and if not extra tenner to buy drink on the ride.
Sorted.98% of rides covered….oh yeah and if you think you will lose your bottles.Get some tub glue and dot it on the arms of the cage it goes tacky forever and you never lose them on anything.
If you say….well thats pointless puting in on a light bike
thats the point. My bike weights 17.9lbs with 2×10 pedals 2.2in rubber the lot so 24lbs all in water the lot aint bad.
and a big morning poo ,sorted
I live just out side of bakewell and i went to manners….infact i was head boy….so there. You will love the area…best club in the world, great riding on both road and mtb.Plus cross course at thornbridge 6 miles from chatsworth
Bruce
inners national xc downhill…. 3km of downhill nearly unbroken after a 4km near constant climb ,slick and full of very hard sections… i did it on a rush 110 and found it hard a good amount of people couldnt ride it.
Bruce
i drank 2 full big innocent smoothies today, this means i had;9 apples,4 mangoes,3 bananas,3 oranges,2 passionfruit and a lime.Oh and i also startled a thrush today who was looking into my bedroom window,im ill so i jumped out on it.
i think your mistaken as running di2 without shifters reciquires custome electronics….like the above,i think good project i just dont think its got much place on a bike that your going to not race.
Bruce
why bother with a 22? i mean you might as well run are push? get a 26 or something similar with a 38 or 36 for useability, the torque smaller gears seem to me doesnt seem to be able to propel you up the hill proportionate to the force or incline your going up.
Bruce
i am thanks, dad and my team.
I get a frame every mtb season. i got kit, shoes for road and mtb and get sis stuff monthly.I change chains every 2 months, tyres when they loose theyre bite,i change grips like every 2 month and everything else as an when.i eat according to my training ,alot of food alot of training and vice versa
