xc is boring to watch

dont watch it then and go race it .
People complain about ” not being techy enough ” im fed up of 75 % of the stw community being totall trols with the technical capabilities of 5 year old even when padded up on 6inch “trail bikes- read not fit enough to ride fast up the hills and cannot control a light,short travel bike fast down hills”. Me and Nj20 both race at a pretty good level,ride everything that is faster to ride but when you need to run to do well i get off my effing saddle and run.Racing is about speed between two points not the etiquet of giving people who ride stuff particularly credit. I mean honestly im not listening to the rubbish some people spout over things that they cannot comment on because they are either ill informed or have inflated views of yourself.

love the canti arguments its just about your set up… so being stupid and answer the question.will cantis be less powerfull…maybe if your breaking on mud or ice.On dry tarmac dry pads set up well …not they will be as good.Do you need more? if your running 42mm tyres and dropping down 2 ft drops on 30% downhills .yes you do but its also not a cross bike and therefore ride a mtb.good lord stw.

gw is clearly a overcocky forum monkey with what appears to be the technical seat dropped skills of hans rey coupled with iban mayo’esq climbing ability while he was courteous during racing?.
i made this thread to credit xc racers so troll off if people are just going to mock.
racing doesnt care about courtesy,manners or pleasantaries.Dc,ls and metters are the only forum users i know of who beat me and without sounding cocky i can do better than most and i run alot.Its about the fastest to the finish nothing else matters,getting ridden into the tape and out of the way is part of it.

i think it is totally dependant on what you want to get out of you riding and were you live.Im not messing about with multiple rings next year on my race bike,on my training bike i probley will stick with 2x10spd

i have never had any problems with my carbon clinchers ?ive sold 20 plus pairs now and nothing has gone wrong….i ride them all the time there 1250g and 50mm deep.

cross bikes are for cross, mtbs are for anything more than a slippy field and some running.If you want to go fast and go offroad get fitter and ride a short travel hardtail… well thats what i reckon.

i havent flickered any pics of my bikes but nic can vouche for me when i say i have some very light bikes…my scale is 17.8lb on park tool with c-02 canister 2×10 and tubs.

i run a 39 with 11-39 because i can/have to currently

i used slick tubs in early season and snow
