To the OP… you wanted our opinions…If your racing and have that budget get a frame from a manufacturer with Uk contact or one like hongfu, otherwise stick to alloy.. I understand you’re not taking a sale away from cervelo but if its not about it being a cervelo why not get a nude frame?

At the end of the day you’re welcome to do you please, however dental work is a lot more expensive than a carbon frame replacement….

Personally I think this is not ethically right,In the way supporting companies who make bikes to look like bikes from companies that have spent years building reputations and design etc. When playing with complex shapes as with the above frame you need a reasonable degree of knowledge of working with carbon.
As someone asipiring to be in the industry and getting my foot in the door, selling and using counterfeit goods isnt on.

On a serious note a good 2 and a half inch on all main roads in the peak and drifting,Back roads nearly impassable in the rally astra with snow tyres on and Its wind chill of minus 8… oh and there if a drift across the drive same size as two medium sized tortoise shell cats layed end to end

sorry, I mean.. Ride what your comfortable with, Im pretty quick on the road (aka a few wins) and still ride 38-28 most of the time,I agree that you kind of need to work out if you can tolerate the extra pain of bigger gears.
Just enjoy your riding and frankly if i didnt race I’d ride a compact with a smaller big ring maybe a 36-48 for nice gear range.

If you want to do the ventoux try bedoin loop first,I live out there in faucon in summer so Im used to to it,Then for another ride do; Buis, faucon, malucene (taking the left at the top of the hill in faucon near les aire du temps.Down the hill toward malucene, following the left after the roundabout.Follow maulucene to bedoin then to flassan, then up the gorges to sault,Stop for lunch in auriel at the resto on the left and descend back towards buis

If you dont get di2 your rather silly, its better.By along shot, and more future proof… and ergonomically more sound. The comparison between the two is massive.Im selling my Mechnical stuff after the national cyclo cross champs this weekend and then Im going electronic on all road and cross bikes.

Having run it on my dads cross bikes with no issues all year and me with dura ace 7900 on mine the and my road bikes.

hope thats useful, let me know if you have any more questions.

Light wheels do make a huge difference when coupled with decent training, good rubber, and technical ability.

I would argue how ever 2 interval sessions offroad a week and technical skills training would make a bigger difference and I own a wheel company…

I think that system is interesting but i don’t struggle racing my 29er on a single 11-36 and 35t front ring. Not for all day rides but when i only have to smash it up a hill 5 times its not an issue.
Having spoken to my friend at sram i should be able to try some out soon and i will report back.

Cracking! though you really need a bouncy fork and i would love to race that

    bikerbruce
    Free Member

Cx specific geo is things like,Not agressive Sloping tubes,Personally i like a deep head tube for stiffer fork,Maybe consider fork mounted brake hangers? shoulder’ablity so clean lines and grab points.
Regarding forme bikes,Adam is mainly a cracking rider his bike doesnt make much difference and has a mega engine but they are dead porkie! In terms of material a decent ally frame is as good as some carbons.
If i was buying id look along for big clearance and things that make real differences come the winter races.
I might be bias for kinesis as i ride for them, but genuinely no one ever complains about them clogging, geometry or value…
Bruce if you need more help contact me and im happy to go into more depth
