Hey guys just an update to inform you that using washing-up liquid and inflating the tyre to 60psi worked a treat. Pressures let down and bike tested. Magic and glad its worked out:)

    Cheers

Take it for a test ride up a climb and that should tell you regarding any creaking from the b/b area.

Hey thats a really sweet build for what you have spent on it. I really like the frame and seen it built-up in the full xtr version etc. Well done and enjoy!

You'll need the iso to post mount bracket 160mm and can buy them for £5 in sure. I just helped my mate do this a few months ago with his steed:)

Check the screw where the cable is crimped as maybe not tight enough. Or try having the lock-out switch on the full travel position and make sure their is tension on the switch by adjusting the cable stop. Hope this helps.

    mafiafish,
Looking for a xc wheelset but not mavic 717 rims. Im sure they do a rim that's quite robust and slighty fatter but can't remember the name of it 🙄

Thanks for the quick replies. The wheels have tubeless rim strips fitted at present so just need to fit the valves and top up with some sealant right? As a guide how much mls per tyre and is it better to use co2 to seal when fitting? Sorry for all the questions

They are overpriced and not worth the extra over xtr.

You need to take all food/drink into the pit area before the race! It's been the same since 2004 since I've been doing it.

Yes and opt for the F1 mille as the best shorts I've ever owned. Just check the sizing before you buy as come up rather small.

Very interested in the Shimano Xtr pedals but can get them new at Merlin cycles for £79.00. Reply to mccandle100@yahoo.co.uk if you want to sort something out!

Twohats yeah that's a scandal for the cassette sprockets. I think realistically shimano should have offered two groupsets at xtr level as who in their right mind is going to ditch two perfectly good sprockets to save a few grams? The upgrade idea is alright but poor that it costs so much wonga!!!

Druidh does the chain last any longer over the standard xtr one?

It happens even on the betty's but output is not effected. Best just to take off the lens cap after use or could use plumbers tape round the seal….

Thanks for the help and looks like I'll run the ust conti's with no sealant and just use a inner tube if I do…..
