My m8 did it two years ago and snapped his collarbone. Stayed in the hospital and then had to get his dad to fly over and drive his campervan home.

Agree with the other comments above. Their prices are rock bottom compared to other on-line retailers

Swisstop do indeed don’t destroy your rims. Shimano have fulminants through the compound to aid braking but do in turn wear rims much quicker. You can get the green swisstop ones from Wiggle for £22.99 for the complete set. An added bonus is they don’t wear as quick. Hope this helps.

Dilemma is I use to do all the events-Wiggle enduroplus, sleepless, mayhem etc. I live in an area thats as flat as a pancake and need to travel 2hrs to travel to a trail centre or any where decent for riding. Time constraints is the main issue as seems easier jumping on my road bike. Just looking for advice as love the bike but at times feel I cant justify its use.

Do a internet search on the discount voucher codes webpages etc and may come across one that way.

Trek fuel ex bikes are amazing to ride and the bearings in the frame seen to last much better than other brands. Plus you have the back-up from trek when it comes to warranty.

I’ve had a pair of lakes for the last three years and been worth every penny. Think wiggle has still got a clearance on them at the moment in limited sizes.

Hey just to update on this thread. I rode from bridge of orchy down through the valley to glen kinglass and “attempted to ride round loch ettive” before reaching the road section that would take you back to glencoe. This section should be called “hike a bike” as rode the first third of it no problem then it turned into a bogfest and areas that were very very overgrown with ferns. The two rocky crossings are impossible as have to climb down and accend out the other side. The last third section before the bothy was very good as techy techy and flowed well. A word of warning to any others attempting it check your clothing regulary as my fellow rider got a cleg bite through his glove and a tick:((
Overall I think I’d advise other riders to avoid this section at great length.

    Cheers

    Headsup,
Spacing shouldn’t be an issue as not running sram…Thought it’s just a matter of fitting the cups and pre-loading the crankset….I’ve invested in the b/b fitting tool with a socket set as my mate damaged his cups on fitting with a shimano tool. Were you running sram?

    Headsup,
What happened to your king b/b’s?

    Foxyrider,
Never ridden one but my mate has and swears by it. Commented thats it super stiff, climbs/decends well and is very light with all the easton finishing kit and xtr groupset.

    Hope this helps:)

firstly what type of hope brake is it? They usually comes in 180mm…if your brake is a post mount type as well as your fork it should be a direct fit

    sambob,
A standard chainsplitter will work fine as used mine to fit a dura ace 10-speed although its the dulux shimano one. A don’t know if this makes any difference to be honest! Unlike campagnolo which can only be fitted with their tool.

Handyman153 thanks for your comment. Did you have to re-cut and bleed the brakes as the hoses come up very long?
