I had a fight at school once – I think it was a draw.

I've not even come particularly close to having a fight as a grown up. The ones I see are usually caused by people who claim to be level headed "stepping in to help". Causes the other guys mates to "step in and help" which then leads to a stand off.

How do you pick a good adviser? I've got several personal recommendations.

Not wanting to be too controvertial, but is there a north/south divide in finding this funny?

I'm from Manchester and think it's just plain rubbish. It has no frame of refence 'up here' (I realise Mcr isn't that far north)

Do Southerners appreciate the wannabe wideboy humour?

There are two pairs of actors creditted with playing the kids with Philippa at 3y and 5y and James at 20m and 3y.

The older actors are voice actors for when he spoke to them on the phone.

Dreaming, otherwise showing the top is unforgivably misleading.

I watched it with my girlfriend whom I suspect had fallen asleep a couple of times. As the screen went blank she said "what's that spinning top for?"

Why are men such utter **** bastards sometimes?

It's an awful situation showing a lack of backbone from the guy involved, but a bit unfair to view this as typical of all men.

Words of advice would be a bit too lightweight given the circumstances, just offer yourself up to talk etc.

The low countries are all about road and cyclocross (at certain times of the year)

Get yourself Kona Jaked up with a spare set of road wheels.

Seeing as you get to keep it for life, I think it's OK to spend plenty of dosh on. I'd be surprised if you can book him though.

saleem – I've had a few trips to that site over the last couple of days.

We're considering a trip to Miami in October with a visit to lovehate tattoos on top.

Did anyone see the episode of London Ink where the American guy come over who was a specialist at photo-realistic tattoos? He did a Huskie on a womans back and it was absolutely flawless. She said it looked better than the photograph and I just about agree with her.

Lego star wars/indiana jones/harry potter are good, but a little juvenile.

Little Big Planet might be worth a look?

I can't wait to manage one of these kids who've never been told they've failed at something.

They're going to have a hard and short probationary period.

Filled in the survey – I left some feedback in the bottom box and hope it's not too patronising.

Lunge has covered pretty much all of it off though. If you want to stay in business, remember that CRC and Wiggle can't offer a friendly face and advice and that your bread and butter will be from people who don't know much about bikes.

He he, I love the targetted Titanium ring ads that have popped up for me. Not the best result by google adwords.

I work as an advertising account manager. As an industry it can tend towards long hours, but neither of my past emloyets were as bad as here. I think I'm going to circulate my cv at the weekend

I know, but leaving a job after 6 months because you can't hack it looks bad, even if it's reasonable.

I'm also not sure how I'll get to go to interviews!

We know how much we have each month, and need to work out how much we can afford to pay for a mortgage once all outgoings are taken care of.

So, you shell out on an engagement ring, then a wedding, then a honeymoon and she needs a present as all of this isn't enough?

    Does not compute.

Maybe you could agree not to fart in the bed for a month or something?

Keeping these 60 year old machines airworthy is no mean feat. If it's a choice between flying it knowing something isn't 100% and not flying it on that particular day, I know what my choice would be as a pilot.

Isn't it possible this might make the situation worse? Granted, in some cases it will send them off running into the woods, in others (say an armed rape) it might make him lash out.

Some great bits, but the climbs were brutal. I think it's aimed slightly above my fitness level, so my mission for next year is to get a lot fitter.

A short summation from a colleague is as follows:

"We went out last night and rode the course. It is nice and an dry with only a few damp spots. These are likely to dry very quickly once a few riders go over them. There is a few nice tight spots in the trees where it is likely to get congested. The ground is also soft where the course is freshly cut. This will compact down and get easier over the weekend. "

    So there

Seem to have all of the above. I almost forgot teabags though, which would be enough to make me turn around and go home.
