I find it really useful for looking at houses I’d like to buy, checking out restaurants in areas I’ve not been to, clarifying directions etc.

All this makes it a fantastic service that’ll make it easier for google to generate advertising revenue from.

BTW, the good people at Google came to my place of work to tell us about advertising opportunities. He said not to bother with android yet as it’s pants!

We went last year and thought it was rubbish. I have little interest in plants so I’m probably not the best person to ask. It was like a zoo without the animals.

Some ducks turned up one year in a small pond at my mums work. They had their ducklings, pottered around etc and eventually left. They all returned the following year and had more but the survival rate dropped, so lots of dead ducklings everywhere 🙁

I had mine for sale earlier this year – better spec than that (Fox Float RLC forks) with a brand new, unridden frame) and for £1100 it didn’t sell. Prices fluctuate at different times of the year.

It’s not a rip off but not a bargain

I did the all-day lesson about a year ago and have now been back a couple of times. I nearly splashed out around Xmas on some boots but realised that, like you, I’m unlikely to go on a proper snowboarding holiday anytime soon. Although whizzing down the slope at Chill Factor is fun for a couple of hours it soon gets a bit boring and even with the best of intentions (“I’m going to go once a week!”) the novelty soon wears off. Indoor slopes to snowboarding on a mountain is like turbo training compared to going out for a bike ride.

If there’s no holiday on the horizon, I’d say just use the hire equipment as it’s free. If you plan on going somewhere and doing it properly, splash the cash.

    WWJD?

hung around with his mates all day, went to parties and had religious visions. I think Jesus was fiddling benefits too and spending the money on drink and drugs.

I’m a moral relativist, so don’t think gambling in itself is inherantly wrong. Limited gambling where a budget is set aside which can be lost isn’t wrong, not feeding your kids because you’ve spent all your money on horses is wrong.

Perhaps a little too low (84 killed, 100 injured)

There are various programs (I’m rubbish, and have forgotten their names) where you can see, real time, what people are saying about your business. This is brilliant for medium sized and larger businesses.

Does the property have a detached garage? You could treat them as separate properties. Alternatively, do a similar thing with some of the garden.

I was toying with the idea of buying shares in some high risk companies – mainly construction / housebuilders. Barratt shares, for example, were trading at £12 a couple of years ago and are now fluctuating around 80p. provided they don’t go bust, I suspect they’ll stay fairly level whilst house prices are low (maybe drop a little further) then pick up in 2011. This is HIGH RISK! Don’t do it and blame me when they go bust in a couple of weeks!

Come back when the trophies are handed out. I think you’ll hear a rousing chorus from the Stretford End then.

Fair play – Liverpool deserved it although I think 4-1 was a bit flattering. Hopefully Mun-U will take it as a wake up call and not drop any more points in the run in

Also, how much does elec, gas, water, council tax, phone, home insurance etc come to each month for most of you? I know how much I have each month but don’t know how much to put aside for these.

There arae 90% mortgages available, but you’re right, we may not be accepted for one. I’m crossing my fingers that Northern Rock and Lloyds will step up their lending by the Summer.
I was afraid we may need to raise extra money for the extra fees. It all seems a bit unrealistic at the moment. Your average FTB is expected to have a 15% deposit lying around with enough left to cover everything else. We’re both graduates with jobs with good prospects and seem to be financial pariahs!

What camera are you using? If a DSLR, I’d suggest the use of a polarising filter to stop a bit of the glare on the 1st and 2nd pics.

BTW, I’m ot all that good with photography, so the following posts may go against this!

Hmm, if that’s £1199 and has welded cable guides and the shamrock detail on the dropout, but Brant’s has no welded cable guides but the complicated chainstay, are they going to be a similar price?

simon – google are apparently interesed in buying it to use it as real-time search. Good for brands/politicians/researchers to get a snapshot of what is being said at any time.

I can only use Spesh BG or gloves with padding on the palm – anything else and I get numb hands for days afterwards.

    Sombrio look cool though
