    You can’t.

You signed up for it and it should have been explained to you what you were getting into so unless you can prove that it was missold and what you really wanted was a tracker/discounted/variable rate you are stuck with it unless you pay the penalties.

Would you allow the lender to take away your fixed rate and put you on a tracker/discounted or variable rate if interest rates had gone up,,,, nope didn’t think so

Have a look at this site as well. We got our Tri-colour Collie from here, loads of advice and people to talk to who know about rehoming dogs.

Oh Si, surely you mean “Urban Bike”, still you did manage to avoid the ‘Road’ word!

It looked a bit worrying there for you for a moment, the first two being SS!

Yeah i was starting to panic a bit there :?

Any sign of the Niner yet ?

We have a Collie x lab (ringer’s her name) got her from Dogs Trust 6 yrs ago. Yes she is VERY cleaver, to much so for her own good at times but has never been destructive in all the time we have had her. She has an appetite like a horse but then most lab/lab x’s have. She is happy as long as she gets some food/exercise/fuss/sleep (in that order).

Ok so i just got off the scales (couldn’t resist a mid week peek  ) and have lost 2lb this week so far without it really hurting me, went for a steady ride yesterday evening to offset the packet of crisps i had at lunch time,,, just got to keep it going now

Good tips from all above but the general feeling that i am getting on this is to eat less and exercise more as per marsdenman.

    Keep it up 8)

    2 hours.

I know what its like though as i was off the bike for about 10 weeks in spring last year and its a bitch, still makes you appreciate it more when you do get back out again.

    Chin up

Cheers for all the comments guys, some interesting points of view on the subject. I wonder how some would view an excited child while out on the trails. This is said with tongue in cheek as they are all valid points i just sometimes wonder about this ‘risk free’ environment because surely if you wanted to avoid risk that much you wouldn’t be on an MTB in the first place :?.

Will take on board ALL that has been said and once we have had our first trial run on Sunday,, I’ll let you know how i get on :D

“and if it craps on the trail are you really going to pick it up and put it in your camelback”

In most places where you are likely to ride a MTB, I don’t think there’s a legal requirement to clean up after your dog

There may not be a legal requirement to do so but given that i hate dog eggs as much as the next rider i would make a point of clearing it up anyway,,, if i felt it was going to be ridden over or trodden on by others

I dont ride trail centres 99% of the time and would NEVER do so with a dog in tow anyway. I will be riding on my own as i agree that a dog with a group of riders in an accident waiting to happen so it will just be me and the mutt early morning weekdays on the Southdowns.

And yes if the dog takes a crap it will be collected (i have a little bum bag for the poop bag to go in) but hes not a serial poop-er like some dogs are

Bought my Blur LT last April and once i got the set up right i have to say that i love it. Mainly used as an XC machine and it suits me well. I did consider the Heckler but wanted the VPP rear. I run a high volume RP23 rear shock which i have had sorted to my weight by MOJO and it now works realy well although i did consider changing in for a DHX5 before sending it the MOJO (glad i stuck with the RP23). As i don’t use mine for jumpy stuff i have a set of 08 Rev U-Turns up front which, again once set up, have been fine although i would like to change them for a set of the new 09 Revs with the bolt through.

In short, yes they are not cheap but IMO worth the money and more bike than i will ever need.

Don’t go to a bank as they will have limited products normally from only one provider.

Seek out an Independent Financial Advisor http://www.cherryfind.co.ukis a good place to start. Any Independent Financial Advisor will give you the option to choose how they earn their money before you incur any costs.

It’s not as scarry as it might at first sound and the advice is normally better than just going direct to someone who is a tied rep for one company who will be targeted towards certain products.

Cycle to work when its not raining

If you ride in when it’s raining too you’ll lose even more weight.

Living on the south coast means it never rains,, well thats what they told me when i moved here 8O

    Eat less at lunch times.
    Eat more fruit and veg.
Cycle to work when its not raining, its only 2 miles into work but i will take the long route home.
Cut out most carbs in the evening.
Only drink beer/wine at the weekend and as i don’t binge drink anyway i can’t see me drinking more than 3 pints a week.
Cut out the fatty takeaways, went for a curry and a few beers on Saturday evening and i have put on 4lb’s.
Start riding a bit more on my own where i can ride at my own pace without the regular breaks so it helps to burn more calories.
