Sussex-mtb are the group who do the ride from The Village Store at High Salvington we also do weekend rides. Tuesdays are normally a bit quicker than the weekend rides but all are quite sociable.

Tuesday nights are normally between 2 & 3 hours depending on how cold it is and we normally do between 15 & 20 miles at this time of year.

find them a great mud tyre. Use the 1.95’s myself for no other reason than mud clearance.

Yeah but what about the Steel 29ers,,, are they restocking the 21″ frames :?

Went there last summer and had a great blast for a few hours, easy to get lost but the trail network that i found was really good fun.

Broke my collar bone in April 2008 when i got a bit carried away on the new bike (jump with big hole on the otherside of it saw me fly over the bars).

Had an op to pin it all back together and was back out riding 8 weeks later but had lost alot of fitness and put a bit of weight on so wish i had used the turbo trainer a bit more.

Well, as you now mention it. I have another bike on order… so it will be for sale. I had it professionally repaired – chap reckoned it should be stronger than original

Client of mine was run over and killed by a lorry driver who was seen looking at the mobile phone in his hand (assume texting or dialing a number)seconds before running over my client. As he didn’t send the call/text the police couldn’t prove anything as it was his word against the witnesses and he got away with a fine and a ban rather than a prision sentence.

My client had been a cyclist for 30yrs and was wearing a high vis top, helmet, never wore headphones etc and basically took road safety very seriously. He left a wife and 2 (adult) kids who 2 years on are still coming to terms with the loss.

I hope he feels guilt for the rest of his life as he has destroyed a family.

This is what stupidity and mindless driving can lead to 8O

OH and yes you did the right thing. I used to get this in night clubs all the time because I was bigger than you average teenager. Just used to walk away till one night this guy pushed the wrong button and got slammed into a fruit machine taking it, him and me over with the force. No one was injured but a still spent the rest of the night in a cell for drunk and disorderly.

Capt – Yep i have got it almost straight but don’t own a vice to clamp it into and don’t want to risk bending the frame by doing it insitu.

It works to a fashion but isn’t perfect and can ‘slip/jump’ at the wrong moment.

My advice would be to start leaving your bike stuff all around the lounge and dining room (and if your brave enough the kitchen as well) that way you have something to bargain with when she complains about bike stuff every where :wink:

If it just the fact that they smell and are not really audable then i would suggest getting a dog to blame it on. It works wonders unless, like in my case, you get the blame for the mutt farting as well :roll:
