The loose poo will be a pita to clear from shingle where as with patio you can wash it away easier.

Having slabs will also help to keep the dog’s claws down where as shingle won’t do this.

Shingle could get caught between a dogs paw pads causing discomfort until removed.

I’d go patio if it were me

    Bonty Mud-X’s in the winter
Bonty 29-3’s in the height of summer
Ardents the rest of the time although i have a crossmark out back on my hardtail with an Ardent upfront at the moment. I’ve not been able to get out on it yet so not able to comment on it.

It was getting sketchy before they filled it in a bit.

It had quite a sharp transition to flat & if you didn’t have your weight far enough back it could catch you out 8O

[Edit] Ignore as it sounds like its been filled in a bit so my point is not valid anymore [/edit]

The Ardents are a great tyre.

One set lasted me all last spring, summer & autumn.

Use the LUST’s and no issues with the sidewalls or tread until i caught it on a piece of metal sticking out the ground but even then it didn’t rip completely & i managed to get home once the Stan’s juice had done its stuff.

Just bought a 2nd pair for the other bike.

Lifer you misunderstand me. You asked “how much was Impy Stout now” to which i replied “circa £4.50” which is how much it currently costs. Nothing to do with % etc.

Lifer – Impy Stout would be circa £4.50 per bottle.

See this is what confuses me in what makes up a unit of alcohol :?

The trouble is that its going to affect one of the few growth areas of the British economy, the small brewery.

The UK has seen an explosion in these over the past few years & many of there products range in strength from your standard 4/5% up to Imperial Stouts which can be over 10%!

They come in 330ml bottles and currently are more expensive but only a circa £2 more than say a 3.5% Pale Ale in a 500ml bottle. The Pale Ale could be drunk all night where as its unusual for someone to drink more than 1 Impy Stout in an evening but the cost will be about double.

So, is it really the strength of the product rather than the amount of the product that is the problem?

On One ScandAL original version – Non of this new fancy curved seat tube!
Stans Crests on Hope ProII’s – 29er flavour of course!
Maxxis Ardent tyres run tubeless – possible weak point as not Rocket Ron’s :?
Thompson stem & bars – What else
    Charge Spoon Saddle – Natch.
    Race Face XC Crank.
    X9 shifters & rear mech
    XT front mech
Juicy 7’s with SS pads – The old skool STW fave.
Manitou Minutes 100mm – These should really be Reba’s but i like the niche ness which reflects what most STW’ers try to achieve

Its the least niche bike i have owned since i got rid on my Blur LT.

It looks to be a manufacturing thing as the seat tube below the top tube appears to be a larger diameter than above it & its all round the tube that it gets larger!

Not sure if a longer post would help as I’m already running a circa 400mm Thomson jobbie, might try a shorter one that ends before the tube flares out too much. :?

The post i’m using is definatly a 27.2 & I’m sure the clamp is the correct size (came on the frame).

Don’t worry bol its definatly a manufacturing feature & yes i got the nail varnish cheers, although the other half is still not convinced its for touching the frame up

I’ll remember the inner tube in the tyre first trick….. If I’d been able to get some juice in my Beaver it would have saved me LOTS of trail side faffing last night when my Beaver lost pressure & went all sloppy & lets face it, no one really likes a sloppy Beaver

How about hanging on for the 29er El Guapo. It looks sweet as (Great Rock posted some pic’s of his freshly built one recently)

Not sure about post size but is that really a deciding factor if you can pick up a frame for £1000-£1200 rather than spending ££££ more for one that will take the post you’ve already got?

    That turntable is lovely.

I’m remembering the “getting up every 15-20 mins to turn the record over” bit now & it is stopping me getting any work done.

Still love the whole vinyl thing but yes, digital is more convenient if i’m being honest.

Regardless of whether you do it on-line or in branch it’ll still be subject to the same credit scoring. Some lenders don’t have an appeals process & some do.

If it’s just a misspelling on the voters roll & you’ve other credit registered at your address then it may not be a problem.

Most lenders won’t reject a mortgage application just because you’re not on the voters roll but may ask why you’re not appearing on it.

A copy of the voters roll can be obtained from your local library which together with a letter of explanation is enough for most lenders to get past this hurdle.

    Hope that helps
