Hi Elvis :D

Here’s Margot at home after a day or twoIMG_1569 by mark shepherd, on Flickr
Here she is with her favourite thing in the worldIMG_3998 by mark shepherd, on Flickr
And here she is today, massively in need of a stripping!!IMG_5821 by mark shepherd, on Flickr
She’ll go all day chasing the ball, or equally as said above she’ll lay infront of the fire and not move
Great to have another addition to the STW border terrier club 8)

Only he wasn’t on a Single Speed!?
Race number 114, riding a Whyte with gears.
Look through the photos and you’ll see him.
He spent a couple of minutes chatting to one of my teammates whilst taking a break, that would have been bang on his 9th lap. So that explains that one
Also being in the Army and being good at a sport pretty much guarantees you’ll do a lot of it.

Thanks for the responses so far.

Does anyone know how the 2.3 Minion DHR2’s size up compared to a 2.35 HD?

Also has anyone used the Double Defence sidewale Schwalbe tyres and had the cut up? Touch wood I’ve not had any problems using Schwalbe in the past with both Magic Mary and HD.

And finally are the 2.25 really smaller than the 2.35?

Cheers

Going by the above calculation I’ve got a BMI of just over 29…
To get a BMI under 25 I’d have to go down to 100kg, I’ve not been under 16 stone for over 20 years, 8 of which were in the Army.
I could do with getting down to 110 in all honesty though

I’ve just done the “ahwiles” calculation and it’s come out as 193mm.
I think I’ll stick with the 175’s that are on all of my bikes..
I may be a bit of an anomaly though being 6ft 8.

Not sure if it’s already been said but you probably shouldn’t be telling people you were breaking the speed limit yourself…

That aside I hope you get a swift and positive outcome to this all.

Any chance of some pics?

Ditto all the above, also carries my near 19 stone with ease.

If it helps I’ve got a large Bell Super which fits with room to spare, however my mates new MIPS Super 2R is a good deal smaller in the large size.
My head goes is nowhere near fitting inside, it may just be the MIPs part but it did look a smaller helmet overall…
For reference I’ve got a 61cm noggin

Mountfield is not a B&Q own brand.
They’re owned by an Italian company, but it’s true that the majority of the mowers they make now are poor quality.
This one however with an aluminium deck and Honda engine will last most users a very, very long time.
Needless to say I’ve got an order in for one as my self propelled, mulching Toro has been eaten by rust

Looks like I might join your mate and ride my Solaris.
Rode the day/night and loved it, can’t do the summer one so this looks to be the next best thing.
Now where’s the best place to look for a good, cheap full face for a huge head?

C’mon John, stop being so hard on yourself.
You lost 6-6.5mins on the final stage due to your hired light breaking, not your fault…
Anyway chin up, BPW next monday

Davosaurusrex, I don’t suppose you got any pics of 30,31 and 32 did you?
I was 32 but riding along with the other 2.
I bet you surprised quite a few people who didn’t practice the 4th stage and thought it went straight on as normal..
I managed top 10 in Fun on my first Enduro so really pleased with that considering all the time lost on my backside on stage 2

Not long home from competing in the fun category.
Stage 2 was not nice at all, I was one of the 60% that came a cropper there, in fact I fell off twice within 10m in front of the baying mob
Thursdays rain played a massive part on stages 1&2, coming back up the fire road after finishing 2 and we didn’t see anyone coming down the stage for around 3-4 mins, probably due to crashes on the way down.
Davosaurusrex were you the Marshall setting people of on stage 4?
Finally a massive, massive thanks to everyone who’s come together to make this such a superb event, from the QECP Trail Collective, all the sponsors, Marshall’s and all of the supporters. The whole thing from start to finish has been great.
Cheers

Yep, in the fun category along with a couple of other forum members who will no doubt be along in a bit.
Racing(ha-ha) under the “More crash than dash” team name.
Should be a good laugh, looking forward to it and meeting up with other forum regulars.
I’m on a HUGE bright green(Enduro green) Cube with matching bright green Bell helmet

Yeah the reach was always going to be compromised with this frame, I was warned in advance.
The reach on my Lurcher is 45mm longer, but that has a layback post to achieve that.
I find the slightly more upright position fine but then I’ve not ridden it in anger yet.
Only time will tell…

23” frame, I’m 6’8” and it seems fine to me.

The sizes you require are:
840mm
480mm
575mm
1055mm
Fork is 120mm

The stem is 90mm with a 10deg rise, I need the length but will probably swap for a stem with no rise to lower the front end.

HTH, anything else just ask :-)

Going out on the first proper ride on mine tomorrow, also got it and myself booked into the QECP day-night Enduro next weekend.
I may not have the required skill or the bike the right travel to do well, but at least it’s the right colour! 8)

No idea on weight, however seeing as I’m around 265lb kitted up weight saving is not a priority

If you can get out for midweek evening rides me and a couple of mates get up to QE around once a week or do a local route of around 28 miles. The local one goes through Fareham so meeting up should be easy.

This has just had an offer and been taken off the market for exactly 300K

There’s plenty more around that price in the village as well…

Not a lot for your money, but then you’re paying for the good local schools I suppose.
