Does your house have any covenants? You’d be surprised how many do.. If any breached all work breaching covenants must be put back to original state. Structural work needs to be inspected just rang my surveyor buddy to double check as regs change.

Anyone can turn sour at any point.. He owed money to the wrong lads for gambling and drugs debts.. Hed moved house took payments and binned his fb acc off and closed his bank account so PayPal can’t take the money back and thought he’d got away with it.

Funny when I drove 190 miles and knocked on his door of his new house asking politely for my pals money back and “compensation” for our journey. He’s probably spending Xmas at hm pleasure as everyone contacted authorities about him.

The lift at the back could be a warped worktop as ideally ment to be left in the room its being fitted in for a few days to acclimatise to where its being fitted (if solid wood) bead of white or coloured sealant would have covered it and tbh all sinks get sealed that I do to prevent warping from water etc.

sink may be off and again depends what tolerance the manufacturers work to heat can come into play with ceramic sinks can warp them I’ve seen two like this that were slightly off square sent back and new ones sent out within a few weeks foc.

IA to remove anything off anything use upvc solvent cleaner… You be amazed how dirty white upvc gets… Very potent so use sparingly on a long free rag… Don’t use coloured ones as the color will run off the rag onto what your cleaning.

Any decent SDS drill corded or cordless 7 mm bit and brown plugs with some 5x70mm screws job done. No need for chemical fixings as even when I worked on heavy mechanical installs we used hilti red eyes and 10mm bolts to hang 600kg condenser units on exterior walls.

Chem comes in when whatever your drilling into is weak or comprimised and/or over a 1000kg… I’m sure your curtains are less than this.

Hire places will hire you a SDS and go screwfix or Travis Perkins and buy a SDS bit. I use hilti bits or punk ones from Travis. Hilti are very expensive and they’re used by me every day so I can justify 13 quid per bit. Travis punk ones are quite good too.

Your be surprised how many use recycled glass and plastic bottles spun out into synthetic fibres to make them stain free and bleach compatible. Some are quite good but don’t pay over the odds shop around and never buy the ones with built in underlay or “renters” as we called em.

After reading the above comments about the van vaults dont put your faith in them after the minimal damage to ours Joiners had lost their keys to theirs on site took me 40 secs to get in with a cordless grinder and a flat pry bar I won’t say how I did it but seriously they’re just a slow down for them that was the first one I attempted even the lads on site were shocked how fast I got in. They now use a old ridgid armour vault no external points of leverage or locks. No van is safe if they want in they will get in. Good aftermarket alarm and van locks on all doors a deterrent they even made a neat job of the can vaults inside the vans bolted to the floor.

Get plates welded or rivited around handles too and take out tools at night (know its a ballache but its routine for me now after that incident) try to park back doors flush to a wall and get a bulk head fitted if you don’t already have one.

And get good insurance I’m covererd by works contents and home contents.

I had a stint in a carpet contractors warehouse covering for a pal on leave. Eye opening is the word I will use.

The mark ups are crazy wed order in 35x5m rolls approx cost to us about 3.45 psm sell on for 11 or even 13 psm plus fitting and plates grippers etc.

The best way to a good lasting carpet is the best underlay money can buy and a cheaper carpet. Most people skimp on underlay and spend a bomb on carpet and it feels shite underfoot and wears out from underside out.

Floorwise 12 the best IMO cloud 9 lost quality as during my time there the company actually stopped stocking it and kept duralay and floorwise.

Sony seal their handsets with a special uv activated bonding agent thats expensive and a pig to work with and source.

Cheap chinese screens can become unreaponsive and “rainbow” over time average price is about 60-80 now in a third party shop but most just use a 3m double backed tape to affix new screen.

Phone wont be water tight and whole bonded unit needs replacing ie digitiser and glass as one unit.

They are a bugger as there are other parts affixed to the screen and nearby that are fragile. By all means have a go but damage internals and finish job how pissed will you be.

Ive watched my pal dismantle these and use a uv chamber and the correct adhisive and he hates doing them. Time consuming and a pain. Google local shops and ask above questions and if they offer a warranty etc go with the most recommended.

Dragged myself away from battlefront and fallout 4 to play it… Played the beta and it was a bit “meh” the preview vids looked amazing but now half the stuff missing like fully destructive scenery.

In the full game its limited to certain bits you can destroy and no entry organisation or planning like the preview vids.

Ive got a few ps4 s inc the newer c chassis model (i collect them have the limited ed models) the c chassis has a smaller fan thus being quiter and more efficient but.. This has a knock on effect that its not as good at cooling the ps4.

I never notice the noise on my older modem tbh and i leave mine in rest mode all the time so all updates are done when not in use never had a issue with overheating or bigger leccy bill. Not even noticed any speed differences between the newer models as theyre exaclty the same internals and specs just diff hdd caddy and smaller fan.

Both good phones. Nexus 6 has no expandable memory ie no sd card slot the nexus 6 made by moto anyway. Very similar specs on paper but the sd slot a must imo as in reality there will be about 25gb of free useable space after os etc.

The moto g is a good little phone just one issue… The speaker on calls breaks frequently (research online just to see how bad it is) i got the father in law to buy one he loved it until 5 month donw the line he told me “it sounds tinny and crackles”.

Sent to moto for repair and two weeks later same again. Sent him. New handset and 6 weeks later… You get the idea he gained a third replacement and sold on.

Moto know about this issue and the speaker is a pain to get to and put back a well known weak point.

flaps…. if you dont like the dlc on blackops…. battlefront is 42 quid for a core game and all the new maps etc will be dlc at a extra 42,99 for the first season. lots of people (myself inc) are raging about the lack of content on battlefront no campaign only online play….

the ps3 cant handle the content of bops3 thus the issues. it has been primarily developed for next gen then scaled down for last gen this year will be the last cross gen games as they cant make two separate games as it takes too long and all the money now in next gen. look online at graphical diffs between ps3 an 4 on blackops 3 they used vans from blackops 2 as texture in blackops 3 to save time.

thats the reason most of destiny was left out and brought out in extra dlc on next gen as old gen cant handle all the content an no destiny 2 for 360 or ps3 xbox have brought out the old 360 games to xbl to nake the switch a bit easier but now it seems ps3 and 360 are getting killed off as the games now are too advanced

On the ps4 about 110gb is taken up by os and online and settings. Average game install is between 45-80gb plus game saves if on console but can use the cloud to save these. New games like battlefront and need for speed are all saved online now on a game profile but this makes the install slightly bigger.

Ive put a 3tb in mine out of a old laptop i had lying about and im nearing full on that but i do have a good few games mostly digi downloads but you can delete these if needs be and re download again via the store or library for free as you have already paid for them.

Xbox one supports game install data via any external usb 3.0 hdd sony does not.. It only accepts media from a hdd as sony belive running games from a external hdd is 2x slower than if from internal memory i do notice some load issues and slight lag when i play games from my external hdd on xbox one tbh but sony are ment to be releasing a update to allow the use of external drives.

a good pal of mine owns a phone repair shop and i dabble with the easier fixes. he repaired mine for me as the sonys have to be sealed correctly to keep the ip rating. i tried the collective complaints but theri terms rock solid. you have to prove its a fault… i did read they had tempered the glass so much for toughness it actually makes it weaker to temp changes ie being in pocket for long period then taken out into room temp can cause cracks.

currently have a g4 lg im a tradesman so my phones dont last long tbf but the lg has taken abuse and still good. get a glass screen guard also i swear by em now.

if the crack worsens the touch will become unresponsive near the crack as sonys screens are a full contact screen unlike apple or samsung which can have chunks missing but still fully function

had a xperia z1 first issue was the speaker being very quiet. sent to sony and fixed and happy days.

got z2 had some dirt in speaker recess near glass used a toothpick to remove and pop… glass shattered..

rang sony sent away and refused repair. kicked off and the waivered the return charge as “good will” cost me 149 to get new screen fitted but was informed only sony can repair back to full waterproof cert.

got a z3 thinking it was a one off and low and behold put phone in my car holder took out after arriving at work and noticed a crack in the glass near the lhs… again sony refused as no screen damage is covered….

i sold it for spares as the bill was 250 for a whole new screen as they have to be a bonded unit not just a top glass replacement as it can become unresponsive and break again..

never buying sony again after looking at alll the other people with the same issues on forums and facebook.

jazzed up frozen bidivest finest cooked in peanut oil. i worked on the trafford centre one last year on the build better burgers in local pubs with melted blue cheese in the middle and fresh brioche buns and not long life ones.

paste the paper….. the paper needs a slight soak to get max adhesion. paste the wall is terrible and a poor arsed effort imo. size the walls first if plastered and then run lining paper horizontally pref 1200 grade. this makes less chance of top paper peeling off and no risk of overlap.

ensure paper is same batch numbers. ive done this for a very long time and im actually sick of going out to “feature” walls that are peeling away or bubbling or creased due to “paste the wall” paper or diyers having a bash.

take your time invest in a plumbob and a sharp snap off knife and a good paper brush.

New updates on the xbox have stopped this for me northcountry boy as it asks for the licences from the original purchaser 🙁 dont know if this is because im a preview member (tester on the new updates and beta software) but sony also clamped down on games sharing since the 3.0 update 🙁

Xbox one can be hooked up via wifi or cable.. Cable always the best as means a faster connection my wifi a bit iffy on xb1 sometimes.

Cd keys a cheaper way to obtain the gold card for x box live its a website to get it from. Plus in december a lot of xbox 360 games will be free to play via download as a backwards compatibility drive from xbox. Nice touch.

+1 for cd keys as you need xbl to be able to use the xbox as needed for updates and playing online etc.

Kinect kind of an annoyance now to be honest and not a lot of new games support its full features leave it off the bundle.

Pads two should be fine but to be honest most friends will be on the other side of the headset not in the same room now a days.

Headset a must to keep noise down but you need to buy an adapter (stereo headset adpater) if the headsets dont have one already however the new revised xbox one pads have a 3.5mm jack on the pad allowing the use of any headset or earbuds with a mic…. Except apple ones as they create bad feedback on the mic.
