A few juvinile ones all from the same group of so called “friends” as were all 25-30 and we get broed easily
Mate fell asleap at a regular fifa/piss up pizza nite, a whole bag of chocolate buttons down the back of his boxers, all over his hands and face and beding, a quick spray of fart spray on him woke him up and he ran pukeing to the toilet!!! Not a happy chappy
Revenge from above, i fell asleap at said night few weeks later, they set my phone time 2 hours late, and cut a lovely hole in the back of my tshirt, filled my steel toe caps with expanding foam and wrote “gary glitter is my idol” on the back of my van in gaffer tape, drive to work was lovely and i had a cold back on site all day.
My revenge was to go around me pals houses after “borrowing” their keys a quick lick of gloss paint on all their toilet seats and 2 had to be awkward and have stained ones so some fresh stain was applied, some laxatives procured from my wifes work did a treat ; )
Another decorating mishap was i had a shed load of a horrible puke green emulsion left from a job, mate goes on holiday for the week leaving keys with us ; ) ive never laughed so hard whilst decorating in my life we painted the whole of his interior doors and all ; ) we were good enough to sheet up and cover his belingings i had a black eye and had to repaint his house but christ was it worth it!!!
One for all tv remotes are fun also, i used to live over the road from my good pal, his flash new telly was the talking point at most events so i thought id have some fun, programmed his tv with a one for all and i sat in my van changing his channels and ordering “erotic” movies mano el mano style his wife caught glimpse of these when he went to the loo or she viewd thier bill i could have done it for months if my mrs hadent frog marched me over and demanded i apologise as the two wives discussed at length how she was going to leave him due to his obsession with gay porn ; )
Many many more as were all idiots when were pissed up, countless cheap ads in auto trader for each others cars/vans cling filmed cars and the best if not the harshest was the “kfc” incident our local kfc had a 20ft inflatable cornel on its flat roof, next was the local paper running articles that it had dissappeared over night??? It turned up in my mates front garden facing his bedroom window and had nothing whatsoever to do with us ; )
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberMy bert n ernie pjs are the dogs!!! As bought by the mrs for a lil xmas prezzie matched with my guiness slippers!!!! Thats for lounging tho, in bed nowt as i get far too hot!!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberNot idealy depends how well the origional paper was first put on, in my world never plaster over anything other than a “sound” surface so in a word dont do it, best way to strip woodchip is to either hire a perferator like a drum with spikes on and roll the walls, then use a steamer to strip off, or score with a stanley and steam off, any other paper i use a razor scraper to get off top layer then fill a backpack water sprayer with warm soapy water and spray, then use a blunt wide scraper to remove backing paper after soaked. I stripped a 3 bed flat fully in one day ceilings and all, (i am a dec by trade) so its not that hard. Any tips feel free to ask me as i know how hard it is to do up a house on a buget and within short time scales, fortunately i work in trades so know how much things should be and how long things take.
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberI had a note 2 for 5 days i loved it until i realised working on site in dirty conditions didnt work well as it wouldent fit in my pocket, and sod leaving it in the site canteen!!! So i returned and got a ip5 and a reduced 64gb playbook for when i was back at digs to watch movies and tinterweb, brilliant tech but just unsuitable for tradesmen i think.
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberLove the sleeper as a mantle piece!!!!! Thats awsome!!! I love the country/woody/homey style hoping if my current job goes well me and the wife can move into the stix into a larger property and have the log burner arger etc going on, the wife rides horses so i think itl be easy to pursued her ; )!!!

bigphilblackpoolFree MemberDont buy a cheap screen as they dont fit!!!!!!! My old ipad before i dropped it on site was fixed at a shop for 100quid with a shite ebay screen, all the way round it didnt fit flush and the home button “clicked ” loudly so i took it to another shop and it was 140 to repair but a massive quality boost and i then sold it, ive replaced iphone and ipod touch screens but i was told to steer well clear of tampering with pad ones, plus this will void any type of warranty if still valid.
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberEating – bbq glaze cockail sausages and quavers might pop some hot n spicy chicken wings in oven
Drinking- tuborg

Bike- nowt as tbe weather round my way shocking!!!!!!!!bigphilblackpoolFree MemberItl be rite!!! Chickens a beggar to watch or in my case the morning after the night before i came home opend the fridge grbbed a chicken leg from the mrs roast dinner shed cooked (i thought the day before) ate it then poured myself a lovely glass of pourable youghart and downed it, que trip to hozzy later in day with chronic stomach pains and “dragon chunder” vomit, the pourable youghart had bin binned and id drunk from a carton of well gone semi skimmed and the chicken was 6 days old ;/ at that point id realised the roast wed had was beef not chicken, she now throws stuff out regular!!!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberI would like to post the pics direct so you see it up rather than a link but im getting a laptop soon anyway so should be able to post em properly, thats her spot watching dark knight earlier on ; )
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberIm on a rewire atm with the father in law hes bin a qualified spark and plumber for 30+ years i just chase and pull cable for him and make it look pretty after hes done (bin a dec for 10 years) i dont think im daft but when he starts banging on about phases and the size of the cores etc i switch off (no pun intended) just tell me where to make holes n lift boards and what cable goes to where n im happy, hes a perfectionist all cables must be flat and clipped correctly and evenly, as he keeps telling me your only as good as your last job, as in some cases above if some spark went to fit some new sockets/lights in a job wed done hed be happy that the work was correct and not slag us off, its beggars belief why some people think “oh its behind plaster or under boards whos gonna see it” its pathetic!!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberObviously not ;/ just went on instagram app and it has option to copy url pasted into the img box and just a white box has appeared??
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberRiiiiiiiiight lol so il need to set up a flickr account or just get a laptop 🙁 thanks anyway guys !!!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberOh dear lord weasel lol, its allways the case dads/step dads having a bash at diy and it ends in tears, i thought wiring and plumbing were safe as what diyer would wanna rip a mains board open or open the front of a boiler n have a fettle, but reading these posts wiring seems to be favoured muck ups!!! Iv sin a few minor botches (friday afternoon wanna get paid n go pub) but some above are horrendus!!!! If i hadent have wanted extra sockets id most probably still bin in deathtrap no1 now!!!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberThat bane vid brilliant!!!! I really enjoyed the trilogy and im gutted now to find out there wont be another bale one i think hes bin the best one of the lot!!!! Anyone remember batman&robin pft made me sick, bane has bin the most fericious baddie i think and very very apt for the film, just that sodding voice!!!!!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberHam pie with a creamy sauce containing garlic n mustard, with a shortcrust pastry and dauphenois potatos, or boil some ham in salted water then bake with a honey and mustard glaze om a nom a nom indeed!!!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberFunnily enough i found out who fitted the props as i used to work for the hire company he also hired a welder and nail gun, he was a builder apparently ;/
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberPrevious house, carrying out sprucing up on a first floor extention decided i wanted some new sockets moved, cut into a return from a wall (plasterboard) lifted board and run cable put hand in hole felt cold metal??? Opend up hole and hey presto an acro prop boxed in either side holding a steel the props had bin welded to the bottom of the steel and the props just placed onto floorboards, big repair bil house sold!!!!! Countless taps piped up incorrectly ie hot through cold etc
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberMines a yamaha one that my bro gave me in exchange for me painting his living room ceiling ; ) anyway, i think it cost him a few hundred quid in a sale but the sound is “amazing”!!!!!! Much better than my old 5.1 setup i had in my living room which was a lg one cant remember the model but it was 180 from argos, but my friend bought a cheeper soundbar off ebay, it sounded like two iphones in a large can of beans!!!! Was terrible!!!!
On the tv front theres 2 42″ lg’s at currys on sale, both full hd led razor thin, one is £329 and the same model but with wifi and is a smart tv is £429 however look on tesco and asda if your not a brand snob im sure ive sin some 42″ for under 240!!!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberAny panels on the side that can be flipped open or any rubber plugs my one has a rubber stopper in the opt port i took that out and weyhey!!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberDidital optical ??? My lg in bedroom has one and goes direct into my soundbar??
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberMany many iphone 4 and 4 ses avl me pal just sold a brand fire new boxed 4 32gb for 175, and the 4s 16gb go for around 200-220 in excellent cond, i sold immaculate hd desire for £70 boxed with a spare high amp battery and cases.
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberLook on currys they got a sale on atm, u see iv had no end of hassle with plasmas, as 90% of people dont know you have to “run in” plasma screens to avoid issues in the future, ie red snow or dead pixels. When u get your plasma you have to turn contrast and brightness down below 50 and gradually turn up over a period of hours, my model was 200 i think, and its bin fine, my previous 2 plasmas a sony and a panasonic had “red snow” in the top corners and the itv logo permanently burned into the picture, after talking to a visual engineer he explained why this happened, also there are settings on the tv to try to stop this like the orbit mode and white wash, (made better but returned!!) if you can be arsed running in and not watching a lot of sky sports news or anything with still pictures for long periods then plasma is excellent pic quality, my next one will be a razor thin toshiba led which has won various awards for the best pic quality in class, or spend 250-300 on ebuyer.co.uk ul find amazing bargins on there!!!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberBuy cheap buy twice…… The dewalt will cover all bases in one and after use a bigger resale price tag, they buy the dewalt because it works end of, most of the lads own festool and have paid the 1.6k for the festool mitre saw, returned it and bought the dewalts instead, mind you they cant stand the dewalt cordlesses, but i just pass on what i know personally, i used to work for a large hire company as a service engineer, i had one dewalt saw in all my 5 years there, the problem??? Replace the led light in the top guard…… I had countless elu, makita, hitachi, bosch all in with bits falling off, motors toasted, blades bent and embedded into guards, dewalt just seemed to have their saws bang on, and believe me im a hitachi man for all my other tools and wont purchase a dewalt item other than the radio and chop saws. Just experiance and seeing the abuse they take.
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberThats what i though with the saws dewalt/black&decker are normally pants but the saws seem to be all excellent in quality and features, thus every joiner on our sites and others iv worked on all use dewalt, a brand fire new makita showed up on site for a spare hire use, 3 cuts on joists and it shit its internals all over the show and smoke out of the motor, like above theres a reason why they use them, a refurb one with 12 month warranty will come in buget, the rage saws are good dont get me wrong but theyre like a mr2 kit car ferrari, look good and cost less but not quite right for the job and youd much rather have a 2nd hand ferarri, and on our site theyre used constantly for 12 hours per day 6 days per week.
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberAll the chippies on sites i work on use dewalt saws with the foldable stand, they all swear by them, they have makita and bosch hire ones on site that never get used only for cutting scrap ends for everyones log burners, they seem to run slower also.
bigphilblackpoolFree Member; ) bin hunting all day for stuff on sale ; ) mind you i have to drive 20 miles to the nearest branch that has em in stock but its an excuse to get out of the mad house for a bit!!! Anyone else found any bargins??
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberIm going to throw a spanner in the works here, s2000??? Imo a much better drive and that vtech!!!!! A few pals used m1 mx5s for track cars and granted theyre fab but on a recent track day a nice chap allowed a few of us to “test” his s2000 2 of the 5 of us were making serious offers on his car and now 4 out of the 5 own one for weekend b road blasts, tbh i think il stick to my fiesta rs turbo ; ) as my weekend hoot mobile
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberIv just destroyed somerset brie on wheat crackers, mature cheddar with wheat and linseed cracker
Wenslydale with cranners on a stone ground cracker and of course blue stilton with a rosemary cracker, with a side of sweet onion chutney and brandston small chunck pickle!!!! And finished with some corse pate from the local meat provider!!!!!bigphilblackpoolFree MemberThanks for the advice but i think im just fine on the old xmas depression front lol i just like to feel “festive” ; ) and not just another day of the year with a flashing fern in the corner of me living room!!!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberBowt 20 mins or until theyre too your liking i just look through the window in me oven n pop em out when theyre golden and just getting that crunch round the edge!!! I cook em every week for the lads (im a contractor who works away) n they love toad in the hole n giant filled yorkies, i think its the vinegar that does summet jus me mam told me to allways put it in, ive tried all the recipes ones with soda water and all sorts and ive allways reverted back to me mams, that makes enough for 4 people having “huge” yorkies!!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberMe old mams recipie
4 eggs
225g plain flour
250ml milk
Salt
Dash of vinegarSmoking hot olive oil, used all oils and found olive oil to be the best, i have yorkies at least twice a week ; ) bout 220 in oven and i have to remove the grills as they rise inbetween them!!! And the golden rule do not open oven door till their done!!!!! Thats when they sink as the cold air knackers em!!!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberBucks fizz at 9am with bacon barms with the wife then if i open my jd honey shaped bottle onto that!!!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberIve had carling zest (on offer 12 cans for £4!!!!) and will slowly move onto the JD honey with ice and my cheese board !!!
bigphilblackpoolFree MemberBrilliant, love the chocolate box, and the abusive grandparents sat in the corner giving u shit because your £30 pudding isnt as good as their day!!!!
