Mrs had a 130i terrible car imo ive driven a fair few performance cars and that thing was bad… Emgine too heavy for a small car turn in was abysmal and id have my pal in his mk5 gti up my backside down the lanes. Only on the straights did it decide to shine but still other cars still kept up.

Subaru wrx sti imo cheap reliable and fast. The evos are good cars ive had 2 the fq 340 tuned to 480bhp and a tommy m edition to 420bhp only one issue with evos… The gearboxes. Had mine uprated clutch done etc and still had a couple of rebuilds on each. The fq had 5k on the clock all factory and that needed a rebuild (out of warranty) at 11k at a cost of 1400 quid.

Pal of mine just sold his type ra running 680bhp full coilovers running methanol spare track tyres etc and road daily usable for 5k so there are bargains to be had

Owned a 2013 st3 after owning a few other older performance cars. Have to admit was a joy at first power everything nice interior, reliable (to a point) but fuel was dismal. Had a 2005 impreza wrx sti previous to the st had extensive tuning done running around 450bhp. The impreza was used daily to and from work and blasts at weekends and odd track day, the mpg was definitely better than the st which shocked me. The st was ok as a mild tuned car suppose i just got unlucky.

Had issues with the turbo which got replaced 3 times under fords warranty. Had issues with the ecu randomly having a fit. Brakes seized up twice and central locking became iffy.

Traded the st in against a rs last year with low miles and one owner. The joy lasted all of 4 days until i pressed the push button and a small pop from engine then nothing… Had a major fault which a lot of rs seem to suffer from so that got sent back.

Been looking at golf r estates and the lesser known seat leon cupra 300 estate for something more reliable and less common. The mrs hands down refuses to drive a ranger derranged unfortunately.

Tradesman on sites i have multiple power tools used heavily daily. The genuine batteries have been hit and miss for me makita had a really bad batch that all ended up faulty.

What they dont tell you is they only warranty the batteries if under 150 charge cycles. This used to be unlimited and they came under the 3 year replacement warranty along with the tools.

Ive had 6 5ah 18v copy batteries since last year all used the same only 1 failed after i dropped it. Contacted seller and hassle free exchanged it no qualms as they offer a 2 year replacement on theirs.

Either pay 119 for genuine or for 85 i can get 2 5ah copies that i noticed no difference in performance or quality. Opened up a makita and a copy they both had sony cells inside with similar internals and components.

There are cheap cheap copies that are crap but spend slightly more from a uk uk seller and they seem to be just unbranded genuine ones.

Casinos if you want to stay out of the way but even then some of the “characters” go there as they still serve ale.

Thursdays used to be booming but its moved to a monday now (monday madness £1.50 a drink most places)

There isnt actually a lot to do at daft oclock as it really comes alive at weekends and bank hols etc.

@marin haha how you know i frequent fjmtb lol. One of our locals yeah love the place.

I worked away for the uks biggest pub chain doing the mechanical fitting on all the builds working cards in for a preferred contractor to the owners..

We had all the perks ie digs paid food money expensed vans and tools and shout of the site as our role was most important in the clients eyes as we had the largest bills and most work to complete (heating, gas, water, air con, vent and kitchen canopies).

On a average site duration (4-6) month for a pub we had upto 10 lads then local lakkies and ground workers. The site agent and ganger were the only two from another contracting company who oversaw all the works and tried to keep to programme.

They got paid poorly and treated like numpties bless em and they had all the flack from above hardly any site agents stayed for longer than 2-3 projects as it was stressful and all the contractors earning more cash and having a overiding vote didnt help much.

I loved the job and it had its perks but being away from home wasnt one of them.

Work for a large company putting things “right” fully expensed van. Tools bought etc shares and holiday pay double time before and after my start times and job and knock.

Site agents hate me as I take home more than them for half the hassle and my work finishes when I leave the job.. they still get emails and phone calls at daft o’clock.

Chuffed to bits in my job I actually left working away for a large pub chain refurbishing their pubs for this job and that was mega money digs paid and £35 food allowance daily.

    Vote leave…. immigration issues…

Main boarder is at calais…. leave eu… calais closes boarder and the new boarder is in dover… well done.

Want to make britain great again, well blackpool has just had over 278 million cut for sea defences, finish off the re do of the prom and blackpool towers next full renovation…blackpool is one place and one issue. Pure stupidity imo voting out nobodys actually looked into the facts and just followed what their instafool followers are doing on face#u$k.

Flaperon… there are ways round cineva hahah its only 1080p movies that get picked up buy it or “br” rips as the digi code built in. Only get 720p ones and your ok.

Ive used kodi for last 5-7 years even when it was xbmc on the original xbox build as the home dash. My main media source now all linked up to a hidden small form pc and to my tv and surround sound with a cheap tablet as a kodi remote 😉 works brilliant

Had 2 weeks in vegas took my three htc one m8 rang up before hand and paid 3.25 for the processing fee to allow my phone to work in usa. Usee just as i do at home uploading pics to facebook for pals downloading music and streaming stuff and making texts and calls.. no charges whatsoever???

Are you sure greece is in the feel at home deal? As im sure tenerife isnt in the deal stangley enough… im sure it was being added later this month but with other “stuff” going on at the mo i dont think thats going to happen.

Funkydunc… i already have my own van shared family car and the weekend track project.

Its part of my contract to have a expensed van for my job its a perk and i pay the extra tax for the private use but comes with free fuel its there so why not use it wish i could pay £33 per week all in for a fully insured and fueld brand new van myself..

I really cant see it lasting in this van to be honest.. they have alreday had to cancel 5 of my upcomming appointments due to the fact i cant take the matetials as the van is full as is with just my tools… plus they hate paying the enhanced rate il see how it pans out as i said i aint fussed i get paid and i enjoy my job.

It was a “group” choice as the restricted connect was tested in other areas… which all have a 40mile radius.. my work area covers 200mile .. filled up yesterday.. 50l tank i can see them changing my van soon

Its not 60mph on a motorway…its 50 on a dual cw for vans connect inc car derived are corsa van and fiesta van. A car converted which are exempt.

Last work van a transit custom 65plate was not restricted??? Insurence is cheaper with a tracker apparently.. clearly they havent taken into effect my “enhanced” rate on my contract…

    bigphilblackpool

Its a new transit connect. Just a ballace as i travel to the lakes scotland rochdale liverpool etc regular all in a day so the 60mph adds time onto my day contract states 8-4 mon- friday and any time before or after starts is paid at a enhanced rate so in effect i have to set off earlier and arrive home later… ad i said not fussed but just a chore especially when some sod doing 55mph on mway go to overtake and they speed up…. mental.

Surely it comes under the umbrella as “private use” and i pay for the right to use in my own time and towards the cost of the car? Its confusing.

I have nowt to hide as if anything im one of the more laid back employees that dont bugger off home early id just like to know thats all

Any brand not fussy 6 or 8 dependent on hunger on either a ovenbottom or doorstop white with best butter and tommy k.

Friend of mine made his own “giant” pollock ones with seeded batch breadcrumbs
Were lovely but he refuses to make them again like the “baconator” but thats for another thread.

If its for a month buy a ps3 can buy sub 100 quid with games plays blu rays and films off a usb stick and also its free to play online. Or 2nd hand ps4 for around 160-200 depending on model and approx 4 quid for a months ps plus to enable online play.

Thanks for the input lads, went with the canyon in the end looks like a new bike bought off original owner who fancied dh not for him and sat in garage even nobbles on tyres still!!! Very imperessed but i have a funny feeling the advertised large frame is actually a medium…

Tall martin what year do you have? And if a 2012 could you measure the tt from the centre of the top cap to the centre of the seatpost.

Mates had a ride on it and they all say it feels mega short for a L BUT the spec list is that good im not bothered about buying a different frame to swap components

Its fine to have a inline fan extracting from two points.. best option would be a nice sized fan say a 125mm or a 150mm if your overkill use solid duct with a stepdown in size off the fan dependent on the length of the run of duct.

Straight run over the top of area can stick 45s or 90s in install a saddle off the straight run to each extract try and keep flex to a max of 200mm in length if your good solid all the way to the air valve in the ceiling (if your using them)

Sealed on the outside with tecseal and fixed with tec screws.

The smell will filter outwards with the draw of the air flow, stepping down in sizes in duct increases the pull anf more air removed.

Dont worry too much about smell getting back in as the one way dampers or “flaps” in the duct are useless imo. They jam up and become noisy as the duct will fill with skin and dust over time.

Alternative install a square vent axia tx6 with a square to round spiggot on the rear. Has one way mech insalled thaat does work and has a removable grill to service it. But this means you need a square hole.

Ideally you would have a supply of fresh air incomming and the extract taking out, along with a “free air” supply to balance the air in the room.

Gets all complex with air flow and measurements the bigger you get.

And yes ducting and “air management” was my old job.

    R32 gtr… Had one and a r33 gtr

Remember.. They are old cars… Undersides need sealing as jap imports don’t come done so rust a issue. C02 tests very hard to pass now unless cats placed in exhaust.

Mpg… More like metres per gallon my r32 was a weekend blast 130 quid each sat and sun easy plus oil ontop

R33 was slightly better but not much.
Big grin factors yes but the hunt for power is stupid. Gave up after about 875bhp as even I thought it became silly.

Hard to find a unmolested one now clocks need changing to mph correctly as most just put mph dials over kmh… So you run speed cameras all the time (6points in the r32) and idiots who don’t know how to tune them mess them up.. Can run lumpy and not really ideal on long journeys due to heavy clutches.

Buy a golf r32 instead… Or a newer evo and keep standard. Did love them but its a full time job keeping old liners sweet. Imagine a barge boat with 300bhp…

Tried 661 lids for fit and found them on the smaller side and pushed into my cheeks quite a bit even in the largest one they did.

Used to have a d2 ages ago and loved it but I bagged a one industry’s off here like new for a good price, tool a chance it would fit and its the lightest and best fitting lid I’ve had on my melon head.

Well currently I’m buying up a few 26″ bikes to split and re sell as above its a buyers market. I’m looking at a 650b 324 in large as I’m 6″4 and I look like I’ve given birth to a 26″ bike even a large.

Picked up a 224 evo with world cups and sun wheels rf cranks etc all top parts marked up at 800 ended up paying 525 cash on collection.

I’m more downhill rigs as that’s what I ride but on way to collect a orange msisle now. Again for a bargain price but the 650b bikes are holding fast and prices firm.

I’m buying and selling to raise the money to get my 650b as I need a bigger/longer bike but of all the lads I ride with they all run 26″ as the parts are dirt cheap and do the job for them fine.

Really well tbh gained my nutrients from supplements wanted my target weights for fights and the chosen career I was doing at the time.

As above got married and things change eat what I want now ride my bike and go gym when fussed. Hold a steady weight and no issues and no paranoia if I missed one of my 9 meals a day of if I’d left my proteins at work.

Turns stupid after a bit and you realise how tasty burgers and sweet potato fries really are.

But what’s wrong with brown rice and chicken? Ammino acids allowing more protein to be absorbed by the body, fibre low in fat. Boring yes but to prep can’t beat it.

If you mix in some super foods like kale or specialist seed mixes some benefits but as said above fruits contain lots of natural occurring sugars. Never did the smoothie route I just ate brown rice and steamed fish or chicken for meals when I used to train then got married…

Sadexpunk you need to load the “apps” or sources to enable the viewing tabs ie fusion installer. Google fusion installer and follow the steps then click on video addons and install them on kodi to make them work and watch away

I praised the joys of tv addons a few months ago and I got slated promoting “piracy” I’ve used kodi since day dot on my old original Xbox when it was called xbmc a glimmer in Microsofts eye then they binned the project (was ment to be the dasg on all Xbox systems) and hackers and modders took it over and made it what it is today ie kodi.

It’s fantastic you do get some buffering or no source available but its free. I’ve been putting this on my family and friends laptops and firesticks for free for yonks.

Some money makers seem to be charging for this now on local Facebook pages ie charging 75 quid for supply of a firestick with tvaddons sideloaded…. Jokers

Washed all mine like this from 20 quid karrimors to my napapijri and stone island vintage soft shells. All come out brill with no waterproof loss.

Dlc stands for download content a separate cost ontop of the standalone game ie for extra maps or missions/levels or guns etc.

Most games don’t warrant the extra dlc but some are half a game until you buy the extra dlc ie star wars (unfortunately) but that’s my opinion just feels a shell of a game.

How could I forget destiny that’s another belting game I bought the whole edition off ps last week on a flash sale at 24.95 for the full game Inc all extra dlc.

    bigphilblackpool

Just cause 3 for pure blowing up stuff and action. Star wars battlefront a bit meh IMO no career only online play and it will be mostly dlc for the better maps etc.

Fallout 4 is a epic game and takes a while to get into but very very well though out and addictive.

Battlefield 4 is a awsome shooter much more too it than COD and more realistic and is sometimes on offer on the ps store for 25 quid for the premium edition with all maps etc.

Gta5 another cracking game and witcher 3 another good game.

I went with the 500gb on release day (only one available) but I soon upgraded to a 3tb HDD after I gained a collection of games most use about 32-50gb space as you have to install them first before playing them. But if you find some games you don’t play as much just delete off the HDD and install again when you fancy a play to save space as the game saves are sent to a online cloud for safety. (Must turn this option on in settings)

Buy a years ps plus. You can use any 3.5mm headphones or headset plugged direct into the pad (iPhone earbuds get bad feedback in my experience)

Buy the 1tb model if you can afford it as the 500gb gets sapped up with game installs fairly quickly.

Best console I own tbh have both the Xbox one and the ps4/ps3 and the ps4 gets the most use.

Possibly the best route would be find a smashed screen one on ebay cheap or a friends old battered one and get swapped out. My local phone repair shop is apple tech approved and approved by the other big manufacturers ie sammy lg HTC and Sony.

He offered a choice of OEM parts (dearer) or third party ones cheaper and offers a warranty on all work he does. Just ask about what phone shops have a good reputation and ask if work is guaranteed

My last boss put on a good doo paid for free bar at local eateries of our choosing and we got cash bonuses and he paid for hotels and taxies for the out of town lads and gave out more envelopes for the foremen to pay for more ale in town and again taxies home.

Did get a invite even though I left last year and the new company I work for one of the UK’s biggest house builders and …. Yup didn’t even get a bonus… No works do no cash not even a card…. So in revolt the site lads have organised one tomorrow of our own backs round town.
