What with the gravity bit in the name, the Alpine is the obvious choice… it’s all in the descents

Well now, though my testosterone is wrestling me all the way, due to the vintage of that beast, I rather think it is (pretty in pink) damn you hipster’s!!

Also of note is the Lucky Strike Ti, which is blatantly shaking it’s well formed rump bits (as far as a static photo can portray) and the dog from earlier on, which although not particularly pretty, is blatantly straight pimping, in a kind of slippers, bathrobes and digestive biscuits fashion.

Looks like if you popped that flip-flop in a wind tunnel, it would fly quite nicely.

Raw bikes always look good~ must be the nakedness…

I think the problem is headcams just don’t do anything dangerous and gnarly full justice~ in many respects this just looks like a gravel path, even with a rider in shot…

Ditch the Bridge of Orchy bit, (kinda flat an monotonous for the most part) park + stay at Glencoe Mountain (Ski) resort, doing WHW into Kinlochleven and return, with a shot on the new red route off the chairlift the next day, before going on to Fort William.

Or hire me for some guiding if you want some proper local knowledge of what could pretty much turn into a weeks worth of riding in the Glencoe/Kinlochleven/Fort William area…

A memory of a fallen hero, who was kind enough to donate some of it’s essential organs, that another may thrive…

The 1st bike is indeed antipodean and the photo is relatively near Glenfinnan~ still about an hour away though.

There’s some keen eyes and bright minds here and no mistake… I was hoping to keep you guessing, but alas I’ve been foiled so soon.

As regards saddle height, If you saw the trail I was about to ride down, you’d appreciate I need the clearance for my nappy

Strimmer is out of string the now, but I’ll get busy with the nail scissors at daybreak!

Fingers crossed, downtube should hold better than oranges of old; in the meantime, I’m gonna have nigh on illegal levels of fun!!

Now keep the pics of your steeds coming…

Make it an overnighter to save fuel and try the Glencoe lift assisted red for comparison, plus all the goodness of Kinlochleven and the wealth of hidden local trails throughout the whole area: then go home after a week, wishing you’d managed to fit it all in.

Looking at the pic, I reckon whilst building the berm today, my subconscious must’ve been inspired by the Buchaille.

Another cheeky feature lurking on the hill:

Keep up to date with progress here:

    Oh no, not more Facebook

    and here:
    Facebook ate my mind

Normal price is £25 day pass, £15 half day, £10 single

Special offer on 7th and 8th June with £20 day pass and £15 Junior day pass.

It’s riding sweet as is~ it’s unlikely to ever be completely finished, because I’m a total perfectionist and sculpt everything just so with a teaspoon, but it’s been significantly tweaked from the video already~ come ride and see how it improves yet more through the day!!

Also worth thinking about if you’re in the area is the new red and UKs toughest DH at Glencoe~ chairlift is open every day and they have a special offer on day passes on the 7th and 8th June.

The Red is a bit easier than the one at Nevis range, but still plenty challenging; the scenery is truly beautiful as well.

Looking good, what did you think of the trail?

Was a cracker of a day, so much so, that I had to hide indoors yesterday for fear of being sold to the knackers as a pork scratchin with sunburn galore!!

Bear in mind it’s a work in progress~ since this video, there is already 2 more berms and a few extra kickers, plus repositioning of a couple of the existing ones for more flow ~ also sorted the loose stuff; been a busy boy today!!

Is it OK if I link to the video on facebook?

I’d buy a new rim and keep it as a spare until that fails~ when it fails, it’s not going to be too catastrophic~ no worse than a broken spoke, which generally results in a mildly irritating audible clinky ping, until such time as you sort it.

Does this mystery gem you speak of have jedi-ish credentials?
