She should be told to sling her hook the sponging bitch! As soon as you’re divorced the couple should’nt be paying the other anything other than child maintenance IMO

I had a 50w HiD light on a motorcycle a few years ago and it was excellent, main beam wasn`t needed 😀

I did actually get some 105 calipers a couple of weeks ago and they are much better than the oe brakes, better modulation and power 🙂
I measured the Ultegras and they’re a couple of mm wider as well. I’ve kept the front tyre but the back had been changed to an Ultremo dd.
New cassette and chain shortly as they’ve done a couple of ‘000 miles but that’ll get done when my chain wear indicator says 🙂
No miles on the wheels yet 🙂

I just used white emulsion on my breeze block. I was told later I should have put some pva glue in the paint to stop it soaking into the brick so easily so I needed 2 coats. I used a shaggy pile roller.Do the ceiling as well 🙂

They also learn you how to brake in a corner as well. It was great, I did it in the wet with the gf on the back 😀

Some corking tales of death and serious injury on here 😀
You’ll always get folk wheeling out a list of names who’ve been best mates and were killed riding motorbikes, never if you want to get a car tho which I always find strange
Ignore them all and have a go 🙂 I love my bike and it’s given me many smiles per mile and taken me all over the Alps and various countries around europe in perfect safety. Just learn how to ride it properly, countersteering to get you around bends etc. I did a course with http://www.i2imca.com/ very good even if you’ve been riding for years

I’ve had cars that cost less to service!
IMO wait until it stops then get it fixed, you`ll probably save hundreds by that time.
Or sell it and buy a good quality Seiko etc. My mate has an Omega and it doesn’t enrich his life any more than my Seiko Diver does mine that cost 10x less.

I really can’t understand why people spend over £100 on waterproof shorts! 😆
I use the cut off bits stitched onto my overall knees so they’re waterproof as well 😀

I was having power problems with my D5 and was told to give it a good drive out just ticking the redline in the lower gears, out of roundabouts, junctions etc
Lo and behold it made a world of difference.
Every drive, if you can when it’s warmed up, get used to that redline in the lower gears, it’ll do it the world of good 😀
My car is 12 yo and has 135,000 miles 😀

I’m working to earn cash to buy things and go places that excite me, make me happy and put a smile on my face 😀
I bought a motorbike I use to tour the alps and camp while I’m there 😀
I`ve got a mountain bike that takes me well on the beaten track of trail centres that I enjoy 😀
My road bike put a big smile on my face as I rode round Derwent water after dropping a child off at school on thursday 😀
I’m getting a new car that I’ll use for camping trips and jollies away and do a couple of laps of the Nurburgring when I go to Germany in May 😀

    That’s what I work for 😀

Im awaiting my brand new Octavia vRS, petrol of course :D, and Im getting it on PCP.
Im a bit of a petrol head and Im looking forward to having a bit of poke about it rather than my rather tired 135k miles V70 D5 Ive had for the past 8 years. Mortgage will be paid off in a couple of months so Im looking forward to spending some cash on a nice motor and see something for my money (divorce got me the mortgage, I`d already paid one off!)

Ive already paid one mortgage off and it felt great until 18months later I was saddled with another one when the wife up and left. My 2nd mortgage will be able to be paid off in May this year, Ive been overpaying for years and saved myself load in interest. I wish Id paid the maximum overpayment off, mine was £500 per month + the mortgage, as Id have even less to pay off come May.
My worthless advice is pay it off if you can 😀 I`ve swapped my mortgage for a new car with a pcp rate of 2.8% now 😀

Deffo getting divorced, seeing my ex Mrs going into the blokes house up the road who she finally moved in with after denying anything was going on. Still in the same house with her for 4 months before she moved out with our daughter who was 5, but on the upside I worked shifts so wasnt in the house at the same time. I just didnt feel I could escape from the stress so slung my leg over my road bike and just rode, it was winter :D, and that helped loads 😀 😀

Driven enough army land rovers in my time to come to the conclusion that unless its for off road stuff only they`re shi te, slow, uncomfortable and horrible to drive.
Thats my take on it anyway 😆

Ive been looking at a new Octavia vrs, tried the diesel, Ive had a D5 V70 for the past 7 years, and it was ok. £30 road tax and £300 or so more than the petrol. I then tried a Golt GTI, same engine etc, miles better to drive than the diesel, slightly less torque but starts lower and has a much wider rev range 😀 a proper smile on my face 😀 so up to press I`m having the petrol vrs 😀 12k miles pa and the extra few hundred quid a year is worth it for the driving enjoyment 😀 😀
30-35k a year would be diesel unless someone else was paying for my fuel

True, when I was married my Mrs always moaned about home much housework she did, when we split and she took all her shi te with her my house was miles tidier! She had a rant once about how untidy the front bedroom was, kept my motorbike gear in there, so I went up, put the 2 jackets that were lying on the bed in a wardrobe then went and told her the rest of the junk in there was hers 😀 she wasn`t happy lol!

I agree with getting your stuff out of her gaff ASAP, then at least your jeans will still have 2 legs and shirts have both arms the same length! Get a big rucksack and make a few journeys on the bike when shes out, dont pi ss about waiting for folk

Come on then, have you gone yet? Was there much am dram or did you slip out the back while she was at work?
As a divorced bloke theres no better feeling than getting the weight off your shoulders after its all finished :D thankfully for you theres no kids involved or its going to end up costing you 10s of 000s of £`s to get out 😀

There is. (I assume the winkie means you know this?)

Yep, I am aware there is a law about it 😀
I like those spoke reflectors you get from aldi now and again, I saw a guy with those on last week and they made him very visible, from the side granted but you can`t really see lights and reflectors from the side.
