When the clown comes speeding down the road roll a football or similar into the road, they soon whack on the anchors 😀
Depending on what size your road is have a word with some neighbours and park your cars so its like a slalom so he`s got to slow down 😀

Good luck, I`ve had similar with scummy neighbours

the socks you wear can make a difference, 2 pairs of thin or 1 pair thick?
I`d be tempted to sell them on and get some new ones, did you try loads of pairs?

but it does allow you to get bits, clothing etc so probably a new frame 😀 especially a bargain if you’re a lucky employee who earns enough to be in the 40% tax bracket

Get a couple of days per week supply then the rest she can do some manual labour, trail building etc 😀 something outside thats totally different to what shes been doing.
I must admit, once being married to a teacher, that I think it shouldnt be a job you do straight from school. You should be out doing a job for at least 4 years after uni before you can apply to be a teacher.
Best of luck to her, I can sympathise

If its still gonna be lightly used after this when you do go round in the future take it for a drive, about 10 miles should do it. It gets all the oil up to temperature and all the other moving parts. Don`t put the handbrake on in the garage just leave it in gear.
If you look on the sidewalls of the tyres theres a little box with 4 numbers in, like 0215, thats the week ,02, and year,15, the tyres were made, more relevent for people with older cars than yours.
When you get new tyres for the worn fronts put those on the back and rotate them that way, that stops you having ancient tyres rolling on the back and getting hard and dangerous over the years 🙂

Ive got a 15 plate vRS, done 11k miles so far and its excellent. I got the panoramic roof and imo it`s worth it, brightens the interior up no end and nice to have open in summer.
Engine imo is excellent, very flexible and fuel efficient compared to the same performance a few years ago, imagine a RS Cosworth getting the same figures?

Congratulations! Have a watch of this, it’s a bit american cheese but otherwise it’s excellent at explaining how to ride a motorcycle. Worth watching even if you`ve been riding a few years too

When you can be jumping in the car and half an hour later doing a lap of Derwentwater on the bike on a spring morning thats when I personally love living around here 😀

Good luck and I hope you get the job 😀

Shouldn’t be allowed. Bike shops should have a mark on the wall, if you`re taller than it you can have one otherwise no.

    I’m 6’6″ so I can have one 😀

Good idea for an adventure bike, I’ve a Tiger Explorer 1200 😀 Try a Tiger 800, stick some engine bars on for when you drop it, when not if 😉 Should be reasonable to insure as you won’t be claiming for £1k of plastic fairings just saying “oh bugger” (other swear words are available) picking it up and riding off 😀
How much are you looking at spending?

Oh, and get some advanced training, learn road positioning, counter steering etc. Plenty of vids on youtube https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=advanced+riding+techniques

Another here with a petrol vRS estate, great car, it’s growing on me since I’ve had it 😀
So far, really pleased with it. Try and get the panoramic sunroof, it makes the interior so much lighter and also your wallet 😀

No extenuating circumstances at all, I was no threat to the owner or dog, it just bit me on the way past. No growling, hackles raised, posturing or teeth bared. Nothing at all that would make me think it would go for me, I even offered a cheery hello to the owner just beforehand.
I’ve got his address so a “tasty” chop lobbed into the back yard should sort it 😀

Just for context, it was on a fire road that just happened to be next to a trail centre right…so a wood then

what part of the country did this happen in?

Yep, a 20m or so bit of fire road between the end of one bit of singletrack to another in a wood 😀

It’s not the actual cost that bugs me it’s the fact that I’ve got to suffer pain and inconvenience cos of his uncontrolled dog, he even admitted that it didn’t like cyclists or sheep but he made no attempt to put it on a lead! It was a cute little collie so the potential of a kid riding up to give it a pat is possible.

Thought Brad made an excellent looking corpse especially after 2 grenades went off in an enclosed space 2 ft away from him!
The Tiger tank used in the film was an actual Tiger rather than a balsa wood covered land rover 😀
It was entertaining, you want an unrealistic film try Robin Hood (2010) where they row some of the landing craft from Saving Private Ryan to shore, I ranted for 20 mins for that!

I’ve used a thermarest for years and I found that as long as it’s inflated enough to keep my boney bits from touching the floor it’s dead comfy, I sleep on my side as well 😀 Don’t inflate them too hard and don’t store them compressed and rolled up

Have a look on mortgage overpayment calculators, I’d keep paying the same but the money “saved” can be overpaid to save you loads. I`ve been maxing my overpayments out when I got my 2 year fixed.
