I believe the new bosch motor is gonna be revealed in the next few weeks so I’m going to hang on to see what it’s like. I’d rather not buy a new bike that’s got “old” tech for full price 🤔😁 I’ll more than likely go for the 160 flavour with a new bike 👍😀🚲

Thanks, it’s always good to get recognition from riders who appreciate the work. You’re right tho, if a small fraction could help out for 1 day a month so much would get built in a year and make it fantastic riding 😁 if you can’t make 22nd June get in touch with Paul for more dates throughout the year, you might be able to do some 👍

Good points, I ride around the Keswick area, whinlatter and surrounding bits also like a bit of Scottish trail centres. I’m a tall guy and about 100kgs. I think I’ll be getting my riding mojo back with an ebike after riding on Friday 👍

Yep, at least if you get some advice from one so you can use them in the near future to protect yourself and your kids from being stitched up financially. My solicitor saved me £12k from my pension that my ex was trying to unfairly get, whether it was her or her solicitors idea I’ll never know but that’s £12k in my pocket.

Trail running is far better for your body than road stuff, I do a short couple of miles on the road and I ache like I’ve been given a lead pipe massage! Plenty of trail shoe deals on tinternet and if you get a pair with normal laces look up how to fasten them properly so your foot doesn’t slide in them going downhill 👍

Try a hot air gun to heat the seat tube up. It might give you enough expansion to loosen its grip on the post. Hot air guns are only about 20 quid from Screwfix 😀

If anybody has problems with their kinetics give john a shout. I just got mine serviced and a new glass fitted. Great service and price. Mine is 10 years old and wasn’t holding a full charge even overnight.

    I’ve a Yamaha MT10 and it’s got a 17″ front wheel, my triumph explorer has a 19″ front and a mates honda Africa twin has a 21″ 👍😁

Don’t get cheap, you’re basically paying for the preparation. Where I got mine done the boys went nearly a metre deep in places to get a good base and the block laying was bang on. I can get about 12 cars on mine to give you an idea and it was £18k

Definitely did the right thing, once their quality of life deteriorates to such a degree it’s fair not to let them suffer.

    Best wishes 👍

Yamaha MT10 😁 I’ve’ got one of those as well 👍😁

If all you want to do is commute cheaply just buy a cheap car, if you’re using commuting as an excuse to get a bike cos you’ve wanted one for ages go for it!

Just looking at headsets that adjust the angle now, might be worth a play.

Any feedback from people who have ran them for a few years?

Well I was out this morning sessioning a few bits on whinlatter south loop on my rumble fish and thoroughly enjoyed it 😁

I dropped into cyclewise for a go on a mondraker foxy and really was not blown away by how good it was. It was too small a frame and a 27.5 instead of a 29er but apart from the slack angles wasn’t £3k good.

So my bike is getting bigger discs, a wash and loved a bit longer ❤😁

seems to be the idea to teach the kids to dive quickly to get them out. If they do have the luxury of time daily dive lessons and exposing them to cave diving bit by bit. More they do the less scary it is, possibly out in a few weeks. Not too sure if full face masks would fit kids and get a good seal but there is also the option of Comms between divers.

I think I’ll try for some test rides to see if there is a marked difference in 6 years of development from my bike and actually how fun they are to ride. I’m gonna have a ride down to wheelbase today and peruse their selection. They seem to actually have a full stache 8 in and the fatter tyres are quite appealing at the moment.

Great points 👍 tbh with me it’s definitely the rider holding the bike back. When I first got it I was so much quicker round my local trail centre than my old bike it was pr  party on my Strava 😁

Love my mulching mower, 450 sq m and no time wasting emptying grass collectors and a mountain of clippings in the corner.

Great ideas folks 👍 the car is a bit of a banger so paint damage isn’t much of a concern but a bit of protection underneath would be used.

She was looking at the handirack as well so good to hear that they do work, it’ll just be occasional use so rain leakage won’t be a problem 😁

No lube just do it every so often and see if it cures it  👍

Brakes and lube are not good bedfellows 😁

Make sure you do it both clockwise and counterclockwise

My lawn is an established one so I just mow it, dunno what the situation is about the grass seeding is. Ime if you’ve a bigish lawn the time saved by mulching is worth the cost of a good mulching mower 😁 no experience of moles either, I imagine that if you have them a few extra worms from a mulched lawn won’t make a difference 👍😁

Have a read of this, of course you’ll have some grass cuttings on shoes but no more than a normal mower. Saves loads of time and no massive piles of grass clippings every week to dispose of or compost down

At 350 sq m have you thought of a mulching mower? My garden is just over 400sq m and I’ve a self propelled mulching mower by honda.

    https://www.justlawnmowers.co.uk/honda-hrs-536-sk-lawn-mower.html

It’s expensive but I can honestly say I’ve never thought it a waste of money 👍 no collecting grass and just over half an hour and it’s done, leaves nice stripes as well 😁

Armor all shield, top stuff, dead easy to apply and buff off. It beads water for ages. I also clay the sides of the car before I apply the wax, makes the paint dead smooth.

I used to have an aquarium and the best advice I got was get a big tank! I had a 240 litre jewel and it was great. The larger water amount took little looking after and they do look better. I had mine in front of light blue wallpaper and no background in the tank so you could see right through and the fish were easier to see 😀

Fishtanks are like tattoos, if you’re gonna get one get a big one 😀

Don’t know if they have a bunch of volunteers to do work on it, if not they should. It’s very time consuming to repair properly and if there’s only a couple of rangers itll be low on their list.

Whinlatter has a regular volunteer maintenance day to keep on top of their trails.

I got a polaris messenger bag instead of a rucksack, I found it far more comfortable and they’re only around £20 at the moment. I’ve nowhere near a 100 mile commute tho!

How bugs the lawn? I got a honda self propelled mulching mower for £500 and it was cash well spent for my big garden! I just wouldn’t be able to get rid of the clippings and buy cheap buy twice was the argument I used to Mrs biglee 😀
