no eyed deer, thats exactly when I get them too.
Im currently taking some vitamin supplements and i also take Aloe vera gel tabs, but nothing helped until i stopped my bread based diet. Not easy with a packed lunch required every day.
Rewski, Red wine is a trigger for me too, all the next day im screwed :-(
    Ton, thank you.

Oh and of course tell other people, it may take awhile to filter through but all of my work now comes from word o mouth. Saves me a bloody fortune on advertising

Just offer to be a ref if they need you, if they have a website then send them a few words so they can use it in their testimonials. But do tell them, speaking as a decorator it really makes my day when people do that

    Quick update.

After months of giving up alcohol and caffeine, and basically getting nowhere, i finally feel as if i’ve made progress. I stopped eating so much bread and for a week now I have been trouble free.
I realise I’m in serious danger of counting unhatched chickens here but what the hell, it’s easter :-)
So it could be a gluten thing, seeing cardiologist on Friday still but right now i’m a very happy easter bunny.

Used too see them ridden as xc bikes, at one point I would have bought one for that reason (pre alpine160). Sadly they didnt make em big enough for me.

    Go for it

“Isn’t it fun” or ” Oh I think that’s really fun” when someone is referring to an object. No you ****wit its a manky old eggcup and not fun in any way.
Too much daytime tv antique shows I guess…

In the same vein the word sweet when used about a person or object, especially when the s becomes a Z….”It’s so zzzweeeet”….arghh

Ok try brushing it on, leave it for a minute, then lightly drag the tip of the brush over the surface to break the bubbles, any drag marks should dissappear (assuming oil based). They usually occur when air is trapped and expands from heat, or using a roller, or if you were over enthusiastic with the stirring beforehand and made the varnish frothy. Rubbish brushes wont help either, i like Hamilton perfection for varnishing.

All the above refers to an oil based varnish, if you’re using water based crap then your on yer own ;-)

are you using a heater at all and when do the bubbles appear, straight away or minutes after application?

Thanks for the replies all. I guess more abstinence is required. Im losing weight because of it so it’s not all bad. I may bite the bullet and at least get the first consultation done privately if nothing happens soon.

legolam I managed to make the palpitations happen three times during the ecg. Didn’t concern them much.

Don’t waste your money, make it a “sunroom” instead with a proper roof, we can never use ours due to it being too cold so plans are afoot to convert it. Oh and …no doors? you’re making a big mistake there

I have recently bought the Sony, the panoramic feature is great but oh dear its slow when writing. Very slow if you take a burst sequence. i wish I had stuck with my original choice of a panosonic FT4 or FT5

Some tyres are easy some are a pain in the rear. Rubber queens fell on for me, and go tubeless or you’re wasting good rims.
If you do go tubeless, i found 1 inch duck tape far better than stans tape or the rubber strip with built in valves

+1 for running it upside down with the chest mount, you will need it to point up higher than you think. I bought Sony vegas Movie studio HD platinum as all the other offerings didn’t impress here
Its more complicated than some but worth the effort imo

    Rockshox Revelation
    Rockshox reverb
1×10 xt gears (no clutch on mech)
    so.. Pauls chain device
Bars, brakes and saddle from old bike
Brakes are hope v2 and i find im needing them due to my girth and the larger wheels.

    I chuffing love this bike..

Im gonna wade in on the dropper post thing and say no dont. I deliberately took mine off due to the massively long descents rendering them pointless. If you are doing more xc type stuff then having to stop to raise/lower the seat in some of the most stunning terrain you’ll ever see is hardly a chore. And, it’s less to go wrong :-)

Take a good hard look at your bike, especially the pivot points and frame bearings and ask yourself ” If any of that goes can i get another at a bike shop” The answer is probably not. My friends trek lasted one day before he lost a bolt from one of the pivots and that was his holiday ruined :-(

Oh, and all the other stuff….

I would go for the Marzocchi 55rc3ti also, just because im anti Fox and they’ve gotten great reviews with alot less maintenance. Also the XT brakes, would they cope with long Alpine descents if you ever took it further afield?
    Great bike :-)

I have 36 inch inside leg and they seem good so far, normal ronhlls drive me nuts with the loop on the bottom, happily these dont.

This bike has made the uphills harder work, and i now go slower downhill.

The ups are harder because they just encourage you to push yourself to your limits.
The downs are slower as I’m used to riding an alpine 160 and haven’t got the balls to just let it go

Either way I’m having more fun on this bike than anything I’ve ridden in a very long time.

Plenty of fireroads and narrower stuff on the family cycle trail side, just get the main cycle trail map. Here and explore away. Be careful of footpaths etc especially on busy days

It’s pretty difficult to get properly lost…sorta ;-)

I definitely go faster uphills now, it’s very noticible and my mates have mentioned it. But, and it’s a big but, I went from an alpine 160 to a Cotic Solaris

Yes they do, or did last year. Best ring though as it may be requiring attention before you visit.
