Great bike – very comfy on longer rides due to the less racy riding position, builds pretty light and great looking with the usual Lynskey weld and finish quality.

Mine is built with Ultegra SL, Hope Hoops and Planet x finishing kit.

My M&S renewal has doubled since last year and now due to the AXA underwriting I cant get an online quote as my house apparently now lies in an area at high risk of flooding/subsidence. Incidentally, Greenbee quoted me but it was £58 more than M&S.

I toast mine too and apply the butter very liberally. I started toasting as we always have an emergency loaf in the freezer that I wasn't paitient enough to let defrost.

I also like malt loaf and custard a la microwave……mmmmm

I replaced my old Xen with a Giro Phase – seems to be better ventilated but just as well fitting.

DG, there is a new red option at inners thats great fun and avoids plora and the old climb is a bit overgrown but still very much useable. Inners also offers the option of cutting onto the Southern Upland Way for some superb riding if you fancy something a bit less 'trail centre'.

Out of interest why did you upgrade to a CCDB?

TLR, having previously owned a Helius FR and now a DW Spot, I can safely say that the Turner has a much better suspension action.

You could also say 26" wheels are not as strong as 24" wheels…..

Spares are hard to come by….?? Rims and tyres are pretty plentiful now.

The advantages of having a big wheel really only come into play on a rigid bike when there is no suspension to help roll/overcome obstacles and they are less agile & slower to roll – how do you work that one out?

    I think 29ers are a bit of a fad – Definite troll

I like that – very smooth. Those Force levers look neat too with the hidden caable routing. Deffo need a nice carbon post to finish it though

I bought a 2008 unit 2-9 in the sales for £380. It really is a great bike, some of the components are pants, but the geometry is superb and it is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

If you used a raised chainstay design you wouldnt need to cut the frame either.

They are harsh and for the cash you could buy titanium or a pretty nice steel frame.

Good idea! I was thinking of running the anti turn washer on the drive side over the top of a chain tug (suitably modified to accept the torque tab).
